- You mean to tell me that a sim loses more money than they gain, despite the starting bonus when they have a new career?
- FlyingPotato6596 years agoSeasoned Ace@Dijktafone no I meant as in my sim has just graduated and had to move out of the university dorm with a household fund of 4,500. I couldn't afford any liveable lot with that sum!
I wish I was able to keep the house I had before moving to university and still return home in that same house - Can't sims on their spare time get to a easel and start painting to make §§§ while in an inspired mood after researching art on a computer?
- So you had a house, then how come you only had 4500 simoleons? As I assume the game prompted you to sell your house before moving to the dorm, right?
- Cheap apartment in SM and an art easel to save quick cash! That's what I'll do if I am broke for awhile after. (I like playing without cheats).

Yes I was thinking about that too, however, the game should provide a solution of rehousing after graduation, free of external moneymakers."Dijktafone;c-17318747" wrote:

I was just checking San Myshuno apartments as an option to start with. place your sim on an empty lot, go to manage world, get into the build mode of a cheap apartment in San Myshuno, bulldoze it, go out and then back into your sim. move house to the apartment. simply place the basics:
A shower, wash basin, toilet, fridge, bed and computer. that will post you near §4,000."Hoverael;c-17318781" wrote:

Yes but this is a workaroud. The picture is as follows. A sim goes to uni, gets graduated, maybe even with honors, and yet can't afford a starter lot. Because, not all DU users have necessarely access to San Myshuno. In my book, this is preposterous. At exit, I feel as though you should at least have: starting funds+job enrolment bonus, which is about 20 000§- FlyingPotato6596 years agoSeasoned Ace

I just work it around by setting my family funds to a "starter" fund then just build it from there as careers do give out good pay once you are graduated! - gnelso12396 years agoNew HotshotWow! They really pushed the realism then! Pretty soon in certain areas, one won't even be able to afford to rent-a-room.
