I don't care how many items they say are there. I could care less if there are 500. It's the quality of the items we get. When half of them are decals and separated items of the same thing just different versions (like someone posted about in a different thread) it makes me irritated. We notice. We should be getting more pet items. Decals and decor only go so far. Im over the plum decals. They need to do a survey before expansion packs about items we would like to see. I feel like their priorities are not the same as ours which is a problem because we are the ones buying the game, or they didn't have the budget and in that case I would've rather went without the decals then have them as filled items to bulk up the catalog. I would've loved some more dog bed options and a doghouse. :p
Do the kids these days love decals? Am I too old to play this game now? Maybe they are trying to market to a younger age. I'm just confused why they think we love decals.
Perhaps Sims 4 packs being inflated with decor make it seem like there's less interactive items?
I don't mind having more decor. To put things in perspective, sometimes I find it a bit of a struggle decorating houses in Sims 2 because there isn't much variety in decor with that game and I don't use CC. Out of curiosity, I counted items in TS2 Nightlife, which totalled 127, of which approximately 11 offered new gameplay. So this shows that we're definitely getting a ton more stuff to decorate our houses with. Nonetheless, more interactive items are never a bad thing!
Would be interesting to see what the ratio of decor/interactive objects is between Sims 2 and 4. I would work it out, but I can't be bothered :P
