- Yes to all of this. I'd love to be able to have a funeral for some of my Sims, or to access pre-made Sim's tombstones when they die.
I also saw someone say mummification, which I made me immediately scream for joy because I really liked the Mummy occult from World Adventures. Ooh and maybe even zombies! Just... Make them less Plants vs. Zombies, more... Not deadly per se to normal Sims, but frightening, threatening, but if it was a zombie of a family member or a high relationship, you can interact happily with them and stuff, maybe even revive them as if they were ghosts. - @Dannydanbo, great minds think alike. :D Love your idea of a funeral home. Good job! Last time I built one was in TS2 years ago, with those creepy vamp caskets. I used the podium in a chapel room so Sims could listen to a sermon or Eulogy. Good times. :D ETA: It also had a cemetery. :)

I would love it if they brought cemeteries back. I want to be able to have funerals, explore mausoleum and crypts, etc. What are your ideas? I want to hear them!
I'd love this! I'd like to see a gravedigger NPC who's always skulking about, digging his graves and acting weird. I'd also like some old-fashioned funeral attire with the top hats with the long sashes that hang off, and Victorian mourning gowns. It would be really cool to have more gravestones and crypts and coffins and urns too. And maybe a new type of large picture of the person who passed away, that can be propped onto an easel or mantel with flowers around it, to honor the deceased. Maybe there could be a way for Vampires to actually sleep in a buried grave. Also, some new mourning animations would be nice, Sims could kneel by the graves and cry. There could be a new podium for funerals where Sims could go up and "share memories". Maybe there could also be a special "comfort" interaction between Sims. A funeral could even be an event like parties and holidays where certain things must be accomplished, like "pay respects", "place flowers", "comfort someone", and "mourn. Maybe evil Sims could "speak ill of the dead" and dance on graves. And if the funeral goes really well, the ghost pays a benevolent visit, or if it goes extra badly, the ghost comes back to scare people and get revenge. There could even be new dishes to prepare called "comfort food".
If it were to come in a Game Pack, there could be a variety of cultural funeral rites and buriel practices, like mummification! <3
I LOVE the idea of teh gravedigger especially him walking around acting all weird that would be so much fun and a great npc i defenitely need more npc's that act different from other sims like miss crumnplebottom did and all teh stuff you said about funerals would great please let this happen devs "TS1299;c-16644609" wrote:

This would be cool! But I feel like EA steers away from really depressing things like that. Sure they have vampires, but digging graves is probably a little darker than what they want. It's kind of the same reason kids can't die or pregnant sims can't die, I think they have a line they try to stay in between. But that's just from personal observation, it would still be neat to have more stuff like that!
Kids can die in The Sims 4.
Pregnant woman have been able to be killed since sims 2...I regulay killed off the ottomans in 2 and the wife was preggo- pinneduphair7 years agoNew SpectatorI would like to have the ability to collect the headstones of sims not in your household from the mausoleum back from TS3. May sound a bit morbid, but adding the original townies to the graveyard helped it feel like decades were really passing by in the game.

I rather have a graveyard instead of these death calls.
I think the calls are still important for sims you aren’t actively playing, but a graveyard is needed so sims can go mourn the sim that has died- I’d like a return of graveyards and the introduction of funerals. These could be a party type that takes place at the graveyard where sims automatically change into formalwear and have party goals like placing flowers on grave, mourn death, etc. I don’t see how this could merit its own pack, but might fit in with a larger generations pack or something.
- JestTru7 years agoSeasoned NewcomerThe mausoleum, so that when Sims die they're urns are collected in one place and I don't have to worry about playing with the household when the Sim dies so I can get their gravestone to put in my legacy family plot. I miss that...
- Maybe they could add better zombies with this also.
- Godzilla-Force7 years agoNew SpectatorI think I would just like a Cemetary Lot Type, mainly since seasons when NPC's die their urnstones are pretty much left where they died, pluss it would help with the clutter of having to many Urnstones on a Legacy House, because I don't think many people want a GraveYard on their lot (unless they are livin in a Graveyard, like a vampire).
