Working on a challenge that I am starting today on my Twitch channel. I think it is interesting and a little mixture of Sims and Animal Crossing
Bugging-Out Challenge (Work In-Progress)
An apocalypse has occurred and your sim has to bug out to a secluded location and learn to survive off the land and begin to build a new society
Set-Up
- Start with 1 Sim; this sim can have 2 objects in their pockets/backpack (objects must satisfy a need and that need will be randomized for each object)
- Sim then lands on a large lot (60x60 perhaps) in the forest (Tree on all spaces accept for 32 squares)
- Lot should have the off the grid trait
Stage 1
- 1st Sim cannot leave the plot (any movement that requires a loading screen)
- Sims can only barter for things. Sims can never sell items to an "invisible buyer". Sims should work towards obtaining a selling table. When a sim sells a good they then can use the money to obtain any object from the Build/Buy mode that is of equal or lesser value. This object must also satisfy one of the needs and what need it satisfies must be randomized.
- Before obtaining the selling table, Sims can try to barter with visiting sims using the Gift action. If the visiting sims likes the gift you can use the money cheat to add the value of the item to the household.
- Once the item is bought from the build/buy mode you should remove the rest of the money using the money cheat; ultimately you must always have 0 simoleons. You may sell multiple items to the same sim (before they leave the lot) in order to obtain something of greater value
- All Items obtained from the store must work off-the-grid
- In order to eat you must choose items that are free or sell produce to obtain the money to make a meal (this is the only time you sell to an invisible buyer since this is similar to using the item to make the meal)
- Cannot use the cellphone because there would not be any service.
Stage 2
- Once the sim obtains a selling table and has objects that meet all the needs, they may add a sim to household to begin re-population.
- Sims can choose a mate from any visiting sim
- Offspring can only age when maxing out 3 skills
- In order to build walls or obtain money for things like the woodworking bench you need to cut down a tree. Each tree you cut down is worth 60 simoleons (or one wall). If you need more trees, you will need to replant by planting a fruit free and waiting for it to be a good quality.
Stage 3
- Once a child reaches young adulthood they should be removed from the household for 1 sim week. When they return, they are able to choose a partner from the relationships they were able to obtain autonomously, if there are no mate options in the relationships tab, they will not be able to repopulate and you can do whatever you please with these sims
- Sims cannot leave the property for any reason other than to look for a mate one time
- A sim being added to the household can bring 1 item with them that satisfies a need (must be randomized)
Stage 4
The challenge is successful once you have a living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms(s) with on-the-grid items for all families branches on the lot. (Must have at least 3 family branches and 8 total sims). So if you have 3 family units they all need their own living room, kitchen, bedrooms.
