Changing the Ambitious trait

Question

Right now the only thing the ambitious trait does is affect the way your sim reacts to being promoted. Some changes I think would make this trait more powerful are:
- ambitious sims get moodlets from leveling up in a skill
- react more negatively to losing at competitve activities (such as basketball from CL)
- get negative moodlets from not having a job
- have special interactions like networking to level up faster in careers

I support this!! I never choose the ambitious trait for my Sims just because it doesn't do much for their personality.

I agree that the Ambitious trait should have more to it. Anyone know if it causes sims to get promoted faster, like it did in TS3? The description of the trait makes it sound like it just causes moodlets. If it doesn't give an increased rate of job performance gain, it should.

Agree with everything!! I do believe sims get a tense moodlet from being unemployed tho. I remember that because I'd have an ambitious business owner always get it, before they introduced self employment.

Agreed. It is too focused on being happy over promotions or being tense because they were not promoted.
