Cheat Sim Info > Add Sim Preference?

Does anyone know what the "add sim preference" cheat does? It's accessed by enabling testing cheats, shift-clicking the sim, and looking under the "cheat sim info" menu. I tried it and have no idea what it did or if it even worked.

I think it gives random likes and dislikes

If you want to customize pre-made sims, you have to open the cheat console and use cas.fulleditmode cheat. This will allow you to edit any active, unplayed, or NPC household. You can change the traits, preferences, aspirations, etc.
