[Discussion] Traits A Deep Dive Investigation Into The Internal Files

Overpowered EP Traits:

• Competitive (if you can deal with competitive spirit, and all the sweat)
• Mystical
• Wise (if you can wait till being an elder)

Especially, if you like to skill grind Competitive/Wise are the way to go. Mystical for reduction in negative moodlets (including heartbreak, mourning, sickness, ailments, grief, etc.), multiple skills advantages, all occult relationships advantages, and easy self-applied positive moodlets (and you can use as occult or non-occult).

After having a closer look at Practice Make Perfect and Perfectionist, traits that seemingly mean to be efficient and/or productive, look more like Checks and Balances traits.

I still think I prefer Perfectionist trait over Practice Makes Perfect trait. Sometimes after being a bit more highly skilled it is nice that crafting takes longer, when other things are too almost easy at higher levels.

Some of the connections and multipliers were kind of surprises and good to know about. Most make sense though. I like the compatibility listings being so easy to access too. Great job, and again, thanks! 😊 

Is High Maintenance right for you/your Sim?

I was always too worried that it would not be worth having a High Maintenance Sim (for fear of constant cardiac arrest alone). And I found online explanations on how to maintain on the vague side.

From what it looks like if you plan on making an ideal lifestyle for a Sim, and you plan to be very Wellness lifestyle motivated, this just is how to add challenge. Balancing the moodlets, as sometimes overpowering positive moodlets happens when you spoil your Sim with perfect surroundings, easy lifestyle, and other easy positive moodlet traits (and reward traits!).

Also you could plan on doing the Spa Day Aspirations, and eventually loading up the reward trait bonuses (such as Carefree (never tense (2 negative moodlets for this trait eliminated)), traits that reduce motives that could result in negative moodlets, etc.). But it is higher maintenance than romantic satisfaction and Lifestyles combined, unless you load up on reward traits, and extra positive moodlets (with jewelry, objects, etc.).

Now I know how this works better, I might plan on making a Sim to try this trait :)

I could do that, yes, I just do not have every trait yet, (or at the least every pack personality trait). I'll see what I can do :)

Freegan vs. Lazy, IMHO Freegan is the upgrade of Lazy with a purpose.

Freegan is only really against the career/working life and spending. With a hint of an affinity to Slob. Aimed at frugality, rummaging, simple living/lifestyle and nature (indirectly).

Where Lazy is against cleaning, working, working out/exercise, leaving the lot and nature (indirectly). 

Weirdly enough, these traits don't really compliment each other much either. It would be better to pair Freegan with Slob and/or Glutton, or Lazy with Slob and/or Glutton instead.

The Core Emotion Triad: Cheerful, Gloomy and Hot-Headed.

These three are unique in the fact they each conflict each other, and that they have more emotional benefits, than the other emotional aligned traits (such as Active, Creative, Genius, Goofball, Romantic and Self-Assured).

Cheerful (aligned with Happy), has a passive reduction of -35% to negative moodlets, and a self-interaction initiated reduction of -75% to negative moodlets.

Gloomy (aligned with Sad), has a Creative Skill advantage modifier that scales with what stage of Sadness a Sim is in Sad/Very Sad.

Hot-Headed (aligned with Angry), has a Mischief and Physical Skill advantage modifier that scales with what stage of Anger a Sim is in Angry/Very Angry/Enraged.

The other emotional aligned traits Active, Creative, Genius, Goofball, Romantic and Self-Assured. Do not conflict with any other of emotional aligned trait.

Active, Cheerful, Creative, Genius, Gloomy, Goofball, Hot-Headed, Romantic and Self-Assured. Each have their own "Feeling ______" moodlet to match their emotional alignment.

I, myself, am partial to Hot-Headed (once I mod to stop the cardiac explosions LOL). But I found the Mischief and Physical Skill advantages really interesting :)
