Chief of Police uniform

Sorry for the vague title, my exact question is "How do I edit the chief's uniform when "Edit career outfit" doesn't want to stick?"

The situation: Of my police sims, four get regularly played, Tina, Chris, Connor and Gavin. Connor and Gavin are both rank 10, so that when I play one, the other sits in the office instead of a townie. I edited both men's career outfit, and they wear it correctly while I play them. However, the one I'm not playing (aka the active Chief) always gets forced into the default jacket and cap.

Is there a way (with cheats or MCCC) to set their uniforms the way I want them?

It's actually not the clothes I have a problem with, but the accessoires. Gavin needs glasses and has a prominent scar, and Connor is an android who has a glowing ring on his temple. Without these effects they just don't look right.
  • *headdesk* Talk about overly complicated plans, I'm such an i----.

The solution is to set the intended work outfit for the Chiefs as another set of formal wear, then switch them into this with MCCC whenever they insist on wearing the situational one. Bonus: Connor has the Proper trait, so he'll love being allowed to wear formal on the job.
  • I was afraid it would be situation outfit, thank you for confirming it. So even if I managed to edit it somehow, it would be the same outfit for both Chiefs? Because that would be even less what I want.

My new idea is now to keep a townie ready that has Connor's LED in one outfit, and Gavin's glasses in another. Then I should be able to copy over the accessoires from the townie (one of the prisoners might work) to the Chief every morning.
