I once set a child on fire for costing my doctor his promotion and enjoyed every second of my revenge. The Sims is one of only two places where I can punish people who have wronged me without any real life consequences (except for strangers being disturbed and hating me for it, which I can live with), and I hope the developers don't take this away on purpose. But based on what I'm reading here, it really seems to be just another bug.
