Classes

Am I the only one who can't figure out how to feed my sim @ uni?
I can't seem to find any cafeteria - only those booths providing scones and bread

So now the newest problem I've come across is failing a class that I've studied for, done the homework for, and have high skills for. My sim is re-taking it, again, and the same things are happening. My sim did the homework before class and the message after it was over for the day was that she wasn't prepared for it. What is going on??

Yes, done all that you've mentioned. I failed the class

Well clearly you have a bug or you aren't turning in all required work. Are you sure your sim physically took his presentation to each class he needs it for? It isn't enough to just do the presentation because you have to also have him go take it to class and present it. Also, homework is due every single class for every single day you have it. You also have to separately turn the final draft of term paper in.

I passed during the 3rd attempt. It was the only class I took. The first two days, I completed all homework, studied, went to class, and it actually said I did well after school ended for those days. But, then when I went to ask the professor how I was doing, they said that I was on the verge of failing!! I studied, studied, and studied some more and brought my skill level up. That did the trick and I passed with an A-. I guess since it was an advanced class, my sim needed the HIGHEST level of skill.

Oh no! I forgot all about the ADVANCED distinguished degrees! You just reminded me. I am horrified at how much more they upped the difficulty for the distinguished degrees since it's already a struggle with the regular ones. Thanks for scaring me and my future "Advanced Degree" Sim!! :)

I didn't realize how difficult ONE class could be!! All of the other classes during the 1st and second "term" were a breeze!! I thought I was going crazy when I failed one lol

It depends on a skill level then? That's very interesting. I found it not very hard for my skilled sim (she was accepted to every one of the distinguished degrees), but I made her study quite a lot and she got three A+.
Maybe next time I should have an elective in which she's not very good and see what happens. ?

My Sim didn't need to do anything other than 'present the presentation'. He presented it before the first class was even held, and it registered as 'completed' in the required tasks for the class.
  • I guess the "Go To Class" option may not appear immediately in order to make the whole situation more of a challenge...? I don't know for sure, but I assume this would be the reason. So we can click on the right building and send our Sims to class. It could still be a bug for all that I know.
  • My sims' class today was from 3:00-4:25.
Missed it. My sim couldn't even make it there on a bike before it was over!
  • A Professor stopped by my Sims' dorm. Not sure if he was checking up on the rumor there was a Proper Star in their midst or what. But not long afterward, I happened to notice a roast chicken on a table … Guess he didn't want any bad publicity for the school should a star die of hunger while studying there. :open_mouth:

I'll have to see if it happens again.
