Collectibles in Evergreen Harbor

The only things I've found was Soybean Plants, and fishing.

I also found only a soybean plant. Maybe it changes if your eco footprint improves? Mine is neutral.

My sim found a postcard in the dumpster while diving

I haven't seen anything other than fishing and soy plants. I feel like Grim's Quarry should have had some rocks and gems spawn at least! I think they skipped the spawns to make dumpsters the main focus. I did find a decorative egg in a dumpster once though.

Speaking of collectibles, how come my sims can't collect discarded appliances and electronics? I made a community space with the landfill trait and NPC sims have discarded an oven and two boom boxes there and on a nearby lot someone left a tablet, but my sim could not collect any one of those items. The only thing they could collect from the nearby lot was a lump of clay but they don't own it, they can just mold it. My sim could have used the tablet and the oven though.

I think the landfill trait is supposed to just be for aesthetic reasons so we can feel like we can make other worlds a little more trashy.

I absolutely agree that we should be able to collect this stuff and fix it though. I've been able to repair the broken items on the lots, but maybe we're supposed to have "caring is sharing" active to be able to collect them? I'm not turning that back on to test it though. :/

My sim has the kleptomaniac trait and she couldn't swipe them. Only thing she could swipe was Destressing Conconction.

Well that's disappointing...

I've noticed something about that too, like townies can take large items, even the fireplace was stolen from the bar, but all I could take were little things like you got.

I hope they fix this to make it more even. Either the townies take less, like us, or we get to take more, like them. (and also implement your idea for taking the spawned broken items from the community lots, it would go along right with this whole thrifting theme and upcycling). It would be nice if that lot trait served more of a purpose than just for looks.

I was also really surprised that Grimm's Quarry doesn't spawn any rocks or or other collectibles. Since it's a quarry I would have expected lots of rocks, metals & gems. It's also a disappointment that we can't collect any of the broken electricals - in fact I thought it was mentioned before the pack came out that we would be able to pick-up, repair & then use the items found around & about.
