No phones, no televisions, no radios, just pianos, fiddles and lots of dancing: The Minuet; the Dance of the White Cockade, or the Flowers of Edinburgh (a style of Scottish country dances). Sugar-stir pulls; barn-raising; corn husking. Log cabins. Tall grass, trees. At one time Virginia was a virtual wilderness!
