I'm not a social media user either, outside of this forum. But I've looked at some of the GCs, out of interest, same like yourself.
Do they have merit? No more than any other capable builder or storyteller out there. But they are very dramatic.
I don't believe their global fame extends beyond the Sims community within their demographic: late teens, mid twenties.
They're just, you know... very dramatic. And loud. If that's your thing, you may want to watch it.
But you could just ignore it. Like many many simmers will. The 'old' ones. Like us. B)
