I’m currently working on a Modern, bougie high school. Things will be switched out when the pack arrives. I also use CC and will posting an accompanying Tumblr post with everything linked once uploaded to the Gallery.

@crocobaura my high school was shaped like that too. Adding a pool is a good idea. However I do think of the students and faculty walking around in their bathing suit..... @Babykittyjade what are your systems specs? The computer "I had" wouldn't take on hardly any cc. This newer computer hubs let me "borrow, so he says lol" should be able to download all kinds of stuff. I'll be cautious and do a little at a time. I mostly want recolors of maxis cas...
This is an MSI Aegis 3. According to the specs I'm reading it says: 8th Gen Intel core 17-8700 processor Chipset: B250 Memory 16GB max. 32GB Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti Storage 2TB hard drive and 256GB SSD
Honestly I don't know what all of that means but I went through a few different gaming computers that could not handle reshade and all of my cc combined. I had to put cc in and out of my computer when I wanted to use it and that was frustrating. I set out on a mission to change that! This is my second MSI brand computer. My uncle brought me the first one and I gave it as a gift to my brother when his laptop broke. And I will NEVER buy another brand computer. There may be better ones out there Idk, all I know is that MSI has not let me down yet. So far I have reshade (well not at the moment cause I'm going to try out Gshade everyone is talking about soon) Ultra graphics settings, and more CC then the law allows as well as some mods. I get no lag or absolutely no problems at all. The game runs so smooth. I did have my brother install an added HDD or SSD (can't remember which) for more space. But as far as gameplay the only time I had a bad lag issue was when my game was full of high poly cc, and I had high poly stuff filled to the max on a 50×40 lot as a city. I since then learned how important poly count really is because I had no idea. The problem is a lot of these new creators are making simple cc with over 100k poly count, trying to make everything look like a smooth 3D game like cyberpunk. They forgot that alpha cc for sims is about texture not how 3D it looks.
Anyway, once I removed all of my ridiculously high poly stuff the lag was gone. I do have some high poly stuff that I couldn't part with but not half as much as before. But this PC continues to be a beast and handles almost anything I throw at it. Will never purchase another PC that's not MSI brand. My next one will be a newer MSI. But as of now I have no need.
I was trying to use someone else's school from the gallery but needed more space and ended up building a school instead. The base of the build is done, I just need to finish off some rooms and get to work on the landscaping (looking at my crooked walkway). I had to keep reminding myself "this is a school, all the rooms would most likely look uniformed but decorated by the different clubs using what the school happened to have." While I like the occult room I think I might need to swap out the chairs to look more like seats a bunch of students gathered from the school to place in their club.
Music Club - I was originally trying to make a theater club but the only thing I could do gameplay wise was make sims practice in the mirror or tell jokes, so I decided to let acting be a career my teens can dream of doing after graduation and decide to make the stage room a music room.
Art Club - I created a room to act as a table that I can change up as needed since I would like to hang the images of any artist I use to be hung up according to the story being played. I figured having 10 pictures of the same thing hanging on my wall is only an honor reserved for grilled cheese.
Woodworking Club - I almost merged the candle making club with them, but google wouldn't give me a simple name to describe the two skills as one and craft club was already taken so Woodworking got its own room separated from candles.
Student Council Room - I wasn't going to make this room and even as I made it I was leaning towards removing it. I don't like rooms that don't serve a meaningful purpose towards gameplay, in other words I don't like having more than one room that does nothing more but serve as a place for sims to do nothing but sit. I like my builds to have rooms with a reason to go into them for more than just aesthetic reasons. However as I finished off the room I found a way to use it, while it can only be useful if I play a sim trying to join the student council, it does make for a decent "no distraction" room for my sim to study in.
Teachers Lounge - So I hear we can have a staff room(?) If we really do get a functional staff room, since there are only two classes I made it to reflect the fact that only two teachers will be using it.
Principal Office -I believe a chair item or desk decides where the principal will sit so I gave them a fancy office on the 2nd floor where they can watch the students entering the school from their window.
Random seating in the hallway - I thought to make an archeology club but decided I wanted archeology to be something pursued in DU. Next I figured why not make a scouts club, but someone made a nice summer camp lot and I use scouts and collectables as summer camp activities and I didn't want to take away from that. I thought to put a lot of things here honestly but either the space was to small (considered bowling), or said activity was better suited elsewhere. In the end I made it a sitting place where a sim can wait for another sim to finish club activities at.
Science Club - I don't like this room, it lacks a "science" feel to it. I looked for references but many require me to remodel the wallpaper and the floor which is a no go b.c I want to keep the "this is a classroom" feel. This one is certainly going to get a make over but I only noticed now that children are the only ones with a chemistry so I'll need to find something else that a teen can use with a science aesthetic.
Photography Club - I almost gave them this huge room with some over the top backdrop that made the place look like a professional studio. But then I remembered these are supposed to be unprofessional photographers, a group of teens who may or may not be good at photography but are in the club b.c they like it. The school wouldn't give them some professional looking studio either, they would be in a classroom like everyone else. Getting through high school and one day owning a studio where they take photos and sell them could be set as an end goal for after H.S. So I scaled the room down and downplayed the backdrop.
Writers Guild - I seriously was going to make this club share a space with the chess and programming club, HOWEVER the only reason they got their own room is because my human sims can't meet an occult sim unless they find a mysterious book no one believes exist. I decided to give the book club some generic mysterious background story so I can take advantage of it should I ever need my sim to be tossed into the world of occult. I placed the bookcase door there as an oddity that appears in the many rumors, the point is to give my sim a reason to approach the bookcase in the first place. Why is a door to no where here, etc, etc I won't bore you.
Recyclable Club - This club was made because I was going to add a debate club, but I wanted debate to stay at D.U. I wanted to have a club I could link to the debate and political career. I settled on recycling as I could easily make it a cause my sim may choose to become a politician for and the game already provides gameplay opportunities to make it come to life.
Brewery Club - From juice to herbal tea, if you can drink it we can make it! I am not sure if I want to give them a tea and coffee pot or just let them brew those on their own time since at home they don't have the tools to make juice anyway.
Dance Club - I really wish there was some sort of dancing class system. I was looking for a shall we dance looking poster and the best I could find was the red dress lass. I am dissatisfied with this room as I also thought of giving it a sort of hiphop style but had a hard time finding anything dance related to even fill the room with. I need to find a way to remodel this room to have more personality.
Occult Club - I stuck a panic room in there for werewolves. I think I might need to lower the quality of furniture to look more "this is all the school can give you" look.
Rooftop garden club - I originally was going to place a small garden in front of the school, but decided I wanted the garden club room to be inside a green house since I have seasons. There were three locations I thought to put the greenhouse, two of those locations I decided to use as lore specific spots connected to school rumors. This left only the rooftop which fit in nicely up there. I even managed to sneak in a telescope.
Swim Club - This came out nicer than expected. I decided on an indoor pool due to seasons and only need to finish adding the cleaning supplies and a few benches. I was thinking of making an actual sitting space for competitions but decided against it since there is no gameplay to support a swimming competition.
Boiler Room -Because I saw the H.S pack has a janitor, I figured I would give them the basement. If it turns out I can't I assign them to the basement then I stuck a secret tunnel down there just for the occult sims to use.

Will your school be up on the Gallery?
Yes I was planning to share it to the gallery. I need to finish off a few rooms and finish up the landscaping. It won't be ready for the packs release date, but as long as this newest update doesn't destroy my ability to log on and build this weekend, it should be up on the gallery this coming Monday.

Of course, this is on a smaller scale ;) It's not finished yet - I have more landscaping to do, more stuff inside and will need to swap some things around when I get the new pack. But this is it so far:
Front (for some reason my rl school had the main entrance off to the side. Also, we had netball courts not basketball): https://dl.dropbox.com/s/eq2gsv277l3pzwp/07-22-22_7-23-48%C2%A0PM.png?dl=0

It needs a fair amount of work, but I'm quite pleased with how it's turned out so far. And it reminds me a little of when I was there :)
I like it, you did a wonderful job. I'm curious to see the final version since you said it needed some work yet.
That's a lot like what I have in mind if I create my own school from scratch, I've been on a bit of a modern design kick lately. The school in the pack has a lot in common with the one I attended so I kind of torn between the two.
While everyone is planning school buildings... I made a small 3 bedroom house, because most of the lots are tiny. I'll update it once I have the pack and then probably upload it to the gallery. https://64.media.tumblr.com/17ec76f441d60ede3c50860f1192f21a/cca8d0671686b177-76/s2048x3072/e38df16c3bf3dbf9988c2bc9026bd5fe92f7ff89.png

Thanks, but I guess I wasted my time building it this way. Now we know we can't have club gatherings at the school there is really no point in making art class, chess club room etc.
EA strikes again. Sigh.
