You can eat it ... or plant it and grow a cowplant (make sure you have I think four free tiles). The cow plants are really sweet, they give your sim free cake!! :D o:)

You can also milk it and sell the juice, but careful sometimes the cowplant just eats your sim

My Sim caught a cowplant berry while fishing too! This is the only time I've had a cowplant in my game. I felt like I had won the lottery when my Sim caught it! :)
