Kids still do make messes, but when the command pops up I usually just exit out of it.
Really? Works for me. They never come into the front door if I have it locked. Less a vampire has the eternally welcomed perk? (but you can still lock a sims bedroom door). Other than that they just stand outside the front door looking around.
