Current stand on Sims 4 AI and Traits

Because I thought at first I've been picking faves with traits but then after experimenting with different traits for a long while I've started noticing like a lot of other folks

I wish there were more trait options, it would be nice to have more "flaws" for traits. It would be fun to have a narcissistic trait, an addictive personality trait, an anxious trait, maybe arrogant or braggadocios, hypocritical would be a nice one for organic drama, shallow could be fun. They just all feel like warm, fuzzy traits; nothing that could seriously cause problems. Not even the Evil trait is truly evil. The only negative trait that really affects my gameplay is hot-headed. They pick fights and always seem in a bad mood that they spread around to other sims, haha.

It would be nice if we could have more depth to our sims, not everyone wants to play perfect sims. It would be nice if we could have more than three traits too. Sims 3 had five or six, it's been a good 8 months since I played it, haven't played 3 since I cracked and bought 4. It was worth waiting for though. If I'd bought it at full price a couple of years ago, I'd be kinda mad. For $20, I can't complain too much.

Could it be a bug? Cuz I know that they have that "Talk to self" in the mirror option and it's a bug.

I'm pretty sure that was already fixed, bc I don't see that anymore unless it's on Insane sims.

I think it would be good that a sims trait would be affected by a certain avents in their life, I know that they get sad when a pet or loved one dies , also when the family misses their birthday, surely it would be better if they turned a little weird after their spouse divorced them and left them with six kids to look after, not just sad for twenty four hours. I also miss looking at their history of avents which I don't think they do any more.

Ugh, I miss this most of all in Sims 4. That history timeline they had.

By default, young adult and older has 5 trait slots, with finishing university adding one more and reaching level 8 in any social group adding another which makes 7 trait slots at max.

I agree with everything said here, but I'd like to add that they don't just act the same when interacting with objects or other sims- their body language is almost identical in most cases. I've noticed that they usually smile the same when they have the same moodlets etc. It's kind of frustrating when I've made two married female sims for instance, and they smile and act so similar to everything, even when they look completely different and have different traits and ambitions.

A few times I've caught sims reacting at the exact same time to the exact same thing- and they look synced, which doesn't really make them seem much alive, independent or free.. I really wish they'd tweak more on this.

Also I'd like to be able to choose between more traits, and also have more traits in general. I wish ambition had more impact on their mood and wishes too. I know they do a little bit, but not in all cases.
