@ikiamyetta I do this very thing. I do not know about sharing the save files though. Not sure how it what I set up in my game would transfer to your game. True we all have the same basic layout but I have a lot of my own builds and I have created every single townie in my game. If what I am thinking is correct and someone wanted one of my set up files for their own game, they might have to download the lots I built and 300 some odd townies from my gallery in order for it to work right in there game. I'm not tech type of person so I don't know if this would be the case or not. That might be a question for @SimGuruNick though. He often uses save files from simmers to find problems in a game. At least that is what I am guessing because I have seen him ask for save files to help find solutions. Oh my if they would have me locked in a padded room if they could read every little thing I have done in my game...LOL
But having what I call set up files is VERY useful if you ever have to or want to start your game over without doing all the work you put into setting up a new game. I actually have more then one and I used them for various things. I have two main set up files at the moment. Ultimate Set Up and Set Up. There isn't much different between those two, other then Ultimate Set Up, is the one I recreating all the townie clubs I lost when the mod I used to enhance the built in club system broke and totally destroyed all I had done. So no more club mods for me. The Ultimate Set Up save has everything else the Set up file does. The premade that annoy me deleted, the sims from trailers that I wanted in my game, but weren't include. All the builds I have made that I play with and around 300 townies I made for game. So when I want to or have to start over I use those file to go off of. I will also backup my saves BEFORE installing a new patch or pack in case they get corrupted. I've had that happen to me more then once and had start over completely from scratch!!!
I also have other set up files I use for building and creating townies in. I have one that is just for the Sims with service job because you can edit them in one game, save them to your library and added them to a new game. They will spawn in your game as such providing it is a new game.
