How do you feel about the demise of your sims?

I do feel pretty sad when it happens! Especially with legacy founders or Sims I particularly like. I used to try to keep them young/keep them alive, but it started to be weird when my founder sim and her daughter were both elders... I know that happens all the time in real life, but not usually in SimLife haha.
Also I am not sure if it's my playstyle, but I've logged just about 1000 hours since I got back into the Sims 4 and I have not once had an emotional or weather-effects death occur. Really weird, because I keep seeing that it happens to other simmers!
