Del Sol Valley has no weather?

I mean, it's supposed to be based on Los Angeles and Hollywood, which are mostly sunny all the time. So I would think it's normal.

Los Angeles (and by extension Hollywood) has only two seasons, One lasts 10 months of the year and is Sun and heat, the other is 2 months or less...and is rainy (on and off). If they modeled the weather of Del Sol Valley after Los Angeles then the weather will be pretty mild other than occasional heat waves most of the time, similar to how Oasis Springs is hot almost all the time.

Sun in summer and a LOT of rain in the winter I am finding

We get the occasional day of rain, or even a thunderstorm. I had to run the air conditioner last month, so I'd say the weather is spot on.

I had rain there. Plus, I used to live in Southern CA, which includes the Los Angeles (I hate L.A.) and Hollywood area, for over fifty years. Trust me, the state often suffers YEARS of drought, but the saying is: "It never rains, BUT that it pours." Where on Earth do you think the mud slides come from? :open_mouth: Drought, fire, heavy rain. It's a very mean cycle, but there you have it. I no longer reside in my state of birth (thank God!).

ETA: Oh, and if you want snow in Southern CA, you need only drive about one hour to the mountains. Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead. I lived near the beach most of my life. Hated that, too. Not a fan of sand. Plus, it's much cooler the nearer you get to the coast. Only in the low 70s.

I've edited it quite a bit -- moved Judith Ward to a fancy penthouse in San Myshuno so I could use her lot for my Academy of Arts & Science (also aged her to Elder because I think it suits her better). Turned the theater-looking lounge into a karaoke bar, and replaced the museum with a nightclub. The park was my vegetarian restaurant but is now a clothing store, and I have a fancy restaurant on the gym lot.

I like your pics, but oh boy, just remembered the annoying everyone has the same black Umbrella. Ugh. Downloaded a mod by littlemssam that makes npc sims use random umbrella's so it's not like a freakish movie.

I've had rain in Del Sol Valley, but I also thought that there was a Seasons / weather bug due to the fact that there was never snow. So thank you to everyone for clearing up why there is never snow! :smile:

I think it is pretty cool how they - unlike with previous versions of the Sims seasons- gave each town it's own weather pattern!

Another thing that I have noticed in Del Sol Valley ist that it doesn't seem to spawn ice skating- and/or rollerblading rinks like in the other towns. I thought this was part of the Seasons bug in Del Sol Valley.

Well I guess since there is no snow it makes sense that there is no ice skating rinks, but what about rollerblading rinks?

Does anyone else have rollerblading rinks in their town? Or is there some explanation for why they aren't available either?
