I hadn't thought of that. I know that with ffxiv for years they limited what they could do because the had to make the game compatible with the ps3. As of their last expansion they dropped ps3 compatibility to increase what they could do and with ts4 now on console they have to make sure that whatever releases on PC can work on console.
