They won't release a big pack so shortly after the first kits. That would take away the hype.
Hype?
The only ones I'm seeing hyped are the Gurus themselves.
I am kind of hyped for the vacuum kit, wasn't really happy about Paranormal personally, but happy for Simmers who liked it.
And that's absolutely fine.
But be aware that the people buying into this whole 'Kit' money milking idea are also the ones enabling them doing more of this in the future.
They are just testing the community how far they can go.
Packs are already very barebones as it is, and by splitting up requested features even more, packs are surely not going to become any better.
It's totally fine that people are excited for a vacuum cleaner in the game, but there is absolutely no excuse in the world why the stuff they are now trying to sell as micro DLC's couldn't have been part of other packs instead..
This whole kit idea is just nickel and diming the community -once again- but there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that there are a lot of people still buying it, so the only winner will be EA in the end, and they absolutely love it.
And yes, Sims 3 had a store too, and yes, I also found that to be very overpriced and ridiculous. The only difference compared to Sims 4 is that The Sims 3 had packs that were full of content and deep/rich gameplay to keep you entertained long enough until the next pack came out.
