Desperately In Need Of Builders' Help

So I'm trying to recreate this lot found in Brindleton Bay's Cavalier Cove neighbourhood, but I just CAN'T get past the front entrance.

Have a look at the pictures...

As you can see from the above picture the wall isn't on a raised platform, as shown from the siding going all the way to the ground, and also no partition between the colour separation. OK, easy enough.

But as you can see from the stairs in front of the door, it's raised from the ground, also with no platform separation.

The front entrance is also taller than the wall it is against ⬇️

The second picture shows it from another angle.

So my question is this...

  1. How do I create a lower staircase that ends by the brick section of the panneling (because putting a staircase in front extends it to the top of the wall).

2. How do I make the front wall taller than the wall it is against (because when I do it as a separate room and select the tall wall, the rest of the lot is automatically converted to tall walls, as well).

Phew... I hope I got the message across clearly enough for someone to understand and help.

  • Moochellie You probably can't match that look perfectly.  The biggest thing that I see that can't be matched (using game objects) is the corner boards extending down through the foundation.  And matching the wall and foundation colors might be a bit tough but using one of the flat foundations (there are 2) will give you a smooth transition.  You may be able to find CC items that will also meet your needs.

On the entry, that room is not taller than the rest of the house.  It just looks that way due to the pitched roof so you can match that.  Just adjust the slope of the roof.

On the stair, you can match what is shown.  This is a case of the order in which you do things.  And you'll probably need MOO on.  Just make the foundation, add the stair then draw the wall and add the door.  To get the space under the stair landing, just start the stair a tile further away and then drag it a little to get the open space (easier to do than say).

    Hope this helps.

Of course! It's not a taller wall, it's just a slanted roof.

Ok, great. Thanks for pointing it out. I think I'll just build it with a basic foundation.
