That also happens with Simtubers, not just devs. You'd think someone who plays the game for a living would know how to find things and yet... no.
There's a difference in showcasing a pack and playing the game. The team needs someone for those showcases who knows what they're doing (and not just be there with "I always play like this" which was my big issue with the more recent livestream) but there are plenty of devs who do play on their own time too. Just probably not as much as a regular Simmer since it's also their work and they likely enjoy a break.
