I think there should be a way to cure disabilities in the sims. Like there is a cure to vampirism in every part of the Sims franchise. IRL, there is no cure for being dead, but The Sims has Ambrosia. I can imagine a Vampire in a wheelchair could still use super speed and the wheelchair would super speed with the Vampire. A vampire in a wheelchair who turns into a bat could either leave the wheelchair behind and helplessly lay on the ground until bat traveling back to the wheelchair, or just make the wheelchair disappear and reappear where he turns back from being a bat.
A Witch with learning deficiency would take longer to learn spells but would still learn them eventually. What if a flying broom can act as a substitute for a wheelchair that can also float on stairs so no elevator needed? What I imagine being difficult is a plant sim with water allergy or sunlight allergy.
In Sims 2 if you paid the Grim Reaper enough money you could bring back the dead - but if you did not pay him enough you dead Sim would become a permanent Zombie.
Permanent as in could not be undone by regular gameplay?
Not even by drowning the zombie and paying dear old Grim a bit more next time?
Nope. Nothing would change it. We kept asking for a cure and it was not until near the end of Sims 2 if you found the Madam something or other - I forget her name - that was the proprietor in the Curiosity shop in down town you could sometimes get a potion that would make them sort of better - they would still have the zombie walk and such but they acted more alive etc - but it never brought them fully back. Technically once you got a zombie you were stuck with them forever - they never died anymore anyway.
I didn't know that. I never played 2 that much.

Oh, I think that would make so many people angry - Imagine having Sims lying on the ground helplessly and not being able to move around because their wheelchair is somewhere else. You said they could fly back to it but just the picture of Sims lying on the ground makes me feel... really sad and uncomfortable :( In theory it would make sense but considering they won't even let pets die from anything else except old age because it's too sad I can't imagine them doing this.
I do like your ideas about witches though. As I said in my reply above - I think it would be too much to change occult Sims behavior for every added disability, but who knows which disabilities and how many they're even considering...
Well, then the option where the bat sort of takes the wheelchair with it would be better. I really don't think that disabilities should be exclusive to non-occults. Maybe a Werewolf would still sit in the wheelchair even after transformation? It would look so weird with that furry monster thing in a wheelchair and hunting with the others while maneuvering the chair around and making a face (snout, whatever) like "WTF is happening!?"
It is something the Devs should really think about, but the storytelling potential...
My Sisters Ex sits in a wheelchair, and I don't see what would stop him from becoming a vampire or Werewolf. (Food on wheels  )
But if that would cure his spine... What would be more interesting? If it did or if it didn't?
