There seems a lot of negativity about Foxbury but, as long as I don't buy a bike, I have never had a problem there.
My sim gets called to class on time, he can walk from the dorm to the class building with time to spare. Also, you can go to class directly from the Foxbury commons without going through a loading screen.
I downloaded a lovely Foxbury Commons lot and my sim spends a lot of time there, since there is free cooked food in the cafeteria. He does a lot of his homework and coursework there and then can zip across to class when needed.
For me, the Foxbury commons always gets a lot more sims going there than the Britechester one, which seems rather empty. But I do like playing Britechester too as it reminds me more of my son's uni (Bristol).
