Display Type

I play in Windowed Fullscreen since I like to tab out of the game a lot and work on other things while I leave it running.

I use windowed fullscreen cause I have 3 monitors and like multitasking while I play.

I play in windowed mode but not because of lag. I play that way because I can't seem to just play the sims, I also seem to feel the need to watch videos, cc shop, read the forums, etc...while I play so windowed works best for me. I have a very large screen so it works out ok. My window for the sims is larger than an average sized pc monitor screen anyway. I do a lot of graphic arts work on my pc so my hubby bought me a huge screen for multitasking. Its handy.

I play in Fullscreen because it's the only option that let's me edge scroll. I can't imagine trying to play without the ability to do that. I've always played that way. It's interesting that y'all say Fullscreen lags your computer. When I was playing on my crappy laptop, both Windowed modes made my computer horribly lag, but Fullscreen didn't. I don't know if Windowed mode would lag the gaming desktop I have now (probably not, this thing is fantastic!), but I really don't have a need to try it and see.

When I'm playing my Sims, I play offline and immerse myself in the game. I get so into it, sometimes I lose track of time and before I know it, hours & hours have gone by and I've forgotten to eat. I've had to force myself to stop and get some sleep. Ah well, I only play when Hubby's sleeping, so it's all good. I can't play when he's awake. Besides the fact I want to spend time with him and get other stuff done, I can't stand someone looking over my shoulder when I play. I have no idea why. *shrugs*

I use Windowed Fullscreen so I can pop in and out of game easily.

Full screen. I just can't seem to get the sense of immersion, or edge scrolling to work in any size of window mode.

Windowed for maximum multitasking.

I've always been told that the game runs better in windowed mode? I prefer it because I can see the clock on my computer (reminding me that I really need to quit and go to bed). It also makes it easier when I need to look something up at Carl's site, or copy-paste a cheat code from my cheat list.

I think it probably lagged because your computer also has to render your background and it couldn't handle that. Being a plum laptop and all. Now that you've upgraded probably would be no problem.

I too also like to set aside some time for my SO. And it is a weird feeling to have someone look over your shoulder. It's like I feel obligated to keep them entertained and watching me play sims just ain't going to cut it for them. Loly

PS. I use my 10 inch tablet to browse the web and keep track of forums and what not while playing Sims in full screen. I prefer it that way.

Windowed fullscreen. Lets you multi task while playing. Works best for me.
