Do family dynamics from Growing Together change without going into CAS/cheats?

I have a parent sim who has a strict family dynamic with their child and was wondering if it were possible to have it change through gameplay. I know I can cheat it in CAS, but was curious if it could...

Yes! My main couple (Caleb & Morgyn) changed into Jokesters, and then evolved into a Close Family Dynamic.

I really love how relationships feel more dynamic now after Growing Together/Snowy Escape, thanks to the changing traits, dynamics and sentiments :)
