I don't get it. Please explain.

Its the condescending implication that some people focus too much on their passions and instead should ignore them from time to time in order to do something completely unrelated that somehow frees peoples mind ignoring if people find it pleasant or not.
yeah your implication that liking the game in its current state and/or direction is somehow a moral failing on the player's part and we should all instead try to cyberbully gurus to force them into producing the SUPREME GAME we all desire is. . . much better I suppose? I'm actually about to go outside right now to look at some trees. mostly palms. but there is one oak and I do enjoy a good oak.- userafw7 years agoSeasoned NewcomerI think this article probably describes what some of the SimGurus do: https://computer.howstuffworks.com/3dgraphics1.htm
According to the article, creating a 3-D virtual world or scene requires 3 steps:
Creating a virtual 3-D world.
Determining what part of the world will be shown on the screen.
Determining how every pixel on the screen will look so that the whole image appears as realistic as possible.
In the case of Sims 4, when it came out, they didn't want to go Uncanny Valley on us. So they chose to use a cartoonish art style, for better or worse. Some custom content CAS can make Sims a bit less cartoony, especially the eyelashes, eye colors and hair. The clipping of Sims when they pass each other, or in certain situations, breaks the immersion, but it fixes some of the routing issues. Exploring a range of emotions is new territory. There was a "furious" emotional state in Sims 1, usually the result of jealousy or other negative social interactions, but that was about it. Sims would laugh at each others' jokes, but they didn't ever have a playful or similar emotional state that this put them in.
Also, when SimGurus read ideas or feedback on the forums, if upcoming features will address that, but they have not been officially announced yet, they cannot break their NDA's (non disclosure agreements) to tell us that. So, they cannot respond to those ideas/feedback to inform us until the features have been announced. They may be able to answer whether this or that is technically possible, but they cannot confirm anything that has not been announced. Basically, they cannot even tell us, "We're working on it." You are a paying customer - you are not being given a free game - and paying customers of any product have a right to want what they have paid for and expect long standing quality they have come to expect. If it was a free game that would be one thing - it is a whole different thing when it is not. Customers have every right to demand quality - especially when they have been buying that product for 19 years."Writin_Reg;c-16812218" wrote:

oh you're definitely right. just some people's ideas of demanding quality is by throwing a tantrum and being snide with people who like what they've gotten. I really hope to see TS4 get the long desired tweaks and updates that the community wants for it. I love the game but it's not without its issues and I'd love to see Maxis go buckwild in bettering the game, especially for people who currently don't see the appeal of it when compared to TS2/TS3. EA really loves to keep every franchise under their thumb on a painfully short leash and it's really suffocating in particular for the sims imo. I actually started playing TS2 a bit again and it definitely has me wishing wants/fears would make a comeback! the whims as they are are kind of hard to keep track of for me.- paradiseplanet277 years agoSeasoned NewcomerWhy not post a feedback/idea here than share the link to a guru on Twitter?

That's a good idea... It's just that if only they want to respond to it..
Somehow, it reminds me of the time when one of the Simmers was been public shaming for just joking around.. It still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.. :|- Simburian7 years agoNew Traveler

I'm referring to the idea of sharing the link of the feedback/idea from this forum on the tweet to the Guru. And, my answer is, that it could be a good attempt to do, but it is also depends if the Guru wants to respond to it.. since they received hundreds or thousands of tweets every day..- Simburian7 years agoNew TravelerThanks for the elucidation. It is a pity if Gurus don't read our Forum threads actually on here as we have some of the most intelligent comments and criticisms, sometimes very lengthy but to the point. They might learn something to their advantage. :)

Lately when people post on these forums the EA moderators will come in and tell you to go post on the official Origin report threads and they will close your thread here. So posting issues here won't help anymore. They want all the issue threads in one place over on Origin.
They closed tech here on the forums - you now have to post all tech and game issues here:
