Do Vampires Visit Other Neighborhoods Autonomously?

I'm not keen on Supernaturals. I prefer to play family/realistic styles. That said, there seems to be quite a few cool new items in this pack (which is mainly why I would get it). Could you tell me...

Oh, I'm a bit turned off as well now ... Thought my sims would be safe and that vampires wouldn't pop up everywhere! :o Luckily I haven't bought the GP yet, and won't do before there's a fix, if there ever will be. Too bad, as I had been looking forward to trying out a supernatural life state for the first time (the pack looked so good!).
