IMHO.....(let’s get that straight right off). First, I feel that the group of Simmers that really feel how empty this game is are the builders. I am pretty sure that most of us would agree that we are far from having the number of build tools that we had at this point in any of the previous versions. Sure we have some new tools that mostly just make building easier, but do not add much to the creativity of building like many of the tools that were left out of TS4.
Second, for those of you who keep saying that you do not want TS4 to end because you don’t want to have to start over, nobody says you have to. Just because they stop on TS4 and put out TS5 does not obligate you to stop as well. Keep on playing TS4 as long as you enjoy it and move on whenever YOU are ready.
Third, I believe that the reason we are where we are with TS4 is because of EA’s target audience, namely 13 year old girls. By only aiming at one age group and gender, it has dummied down the game for the rest of us who were used to EA aiming at the entire family. They have been trying to simplify the game too much to the point that details we were used to seeing are diminished or not there at all!
Again, IMHO.
