It's futile to keep comparing the game to Sims 1, 2, and 3. Those games were completed in four years. This one won't be. And by complete I'm merely referring to the content people have come to expect in a sims game, not current enjoyment of the game. It doesn't matter that enough content was delivered within four years for 1, 2, and 3. This one is taking at least seven years to deliver all the content the developers have planned. They said in the beginning Sims 4 was going to be different. Am I having fun now? Yes. Do I need more content? No. Do I want more content? Yes.
ETA: @Pegasys I agree there's nothing wrong with saying the game has potential. I think it has the potential to deliver some never before seen gameplay in the sims franchise. That's what I'm most looking forward to.
