- burnished_dragonNew SpectatorI voted sometimes. Had a weird one the other night, ex-wife of my sims fiance called to invite him over. I thought why not as my sim had tried for a baby with his fiance's daughter (I know, I know, the darn fiance turned to an elder the day he moved in and I never got an option for try for a baby with him) Anyway they arrived and the ex-wife is about to give birth - she is spawning bassinet after bassinet. Finally I have them leave and I go back to play that household (they are normally non-played sims) just so she could have this baby. Then the daughter goes into labour, thankfully she didn't need a bassinet lol. I sold all the rest so they could have some money.

See I had the issue with the stuck in labor and bassinets steady spawning but that was due to a glitch with a mod.- LatinaBunnyNew SpectatorThey tend to call when my sim’s preoccupied with something, so I rarely get the chance to go out so suddenly, lol.
I’m usually the one initiating the going out, either by inviting and traveling with people, or starting club gatherings. - No I turned them all off.
- Sometimes because it breaks me out the the routine and gets them out of the house once in a while but like others have said the invites are far too frequent especially from people they barely know who call maybe three times in a night, desperate much. Also I agree if we could have an hour to get them ready that would really help. In the older games we had to wait for taxis so that always gave you a few minutes to quickly go to the toilet or grab a quick snack.
- It’s a nice feature but I have found that Father Winter won’t stop asking me out on ghost night. Becoming a little frustrating...
- BusufuSeasoned HotshotYes always. It's a welcome change in a Sims life :)
- HermitgirlNew SpectatorIf they are green enough and don't have work pending I'm sending them out a lot more often now. I tend to go through phases with my control freaky-ness it's nice when I do it and see things from a different perspective or even use the situation (worlds cheapest successful date, evading drama with multiple love interests around.. ect) to have a little impromptu fun.
- Hardly ever. I usually like to play mostly in the household's home lot. My sims almost never go out unless I want them to (like to go to a restaurant for example) because I don't like having to go through loading screens (they don't even go to the gym, as I usually build a home gym room in most of my builds), and when other sims invite I hardly ever accept and wish they would stop inviting them all the time. If we had the option to just send them without actively going there (kinda like you can do with GTW careers, where a pop-up window shows up to ask if you wanna follow them or just send them) then yes, I would probably accept invitations more often.

Lexus - Not exactly about invitations so much, even though sometimes I have gotten invites to work out with my sims gym friends - but in light of loading screens etc - some loading screens are worth going too and even if I build things on the home lot they can do from home - I find my sims often level up faster in skills when they go to the appropriate buildings like the gym, the library, etc that has sometimes the same equipment my sim has at home. So then the loading screen is worth it. Also you get additional buffs, often up socials, charisma when you socially engage at these places faster, and even many times fun. Like at the gym you can also engage in competitions - like the rock wall one if you have that pack which gives perks, numerous skill points and buffs. At the gym is also where you sims can help instruct others when they reach certain fitness levels.
Some careers or career perks are increased and satisfied by doing research or certain reports at the library that your sim doesn't get from home too. You gain in a lot more levels, faster skilling, and complete certain task by going to the gym or library they don't even offer from home.
At least on my pc going to those specific buildings take mere seconds - and is always worth at least now and then. Especially if prompted by a whim and you need points for something - like doing research or a report at the library.
