San Myshuno fills with dishes, trash, and urns, that cannot be cleaned up and eventually crash the game due to too many objects.

To be perfectly honest, mightysprite can't even tell what the problem is here, but people posted many images on the bug thread and 30 people so far have reported it, so it should qualify for the How Broken Is It thread. You can look at the pictures and judge for yourself if it would bother you.

 

 

And now, the mightysprite analysis: should we buy it?

I'm gonna say YES, But:

Rebirth is not going to be a very important feature for my gameplay personally. 

And, I think it's actually kind of awesome that sims who are into deathly stuff might have trouble maintaining their relationships on this mortal plane. 

(Plus, I just can't see the ear thing. I've tried. Multiple times. I'm like that guy from Mallrats who just cannot see the Magic Eye picture.)

 

Simmers who plan to use rebirth a lot, and/or want their macabre sims to still be able to function in the PTA meeting and country club (or at least in their marriages to normies), might want to wait until these bugs are fixed.

 

The San Myshuno litter bug though: I'm gonna say, GAH. After the overlapping festivals bug, too. The neighborhood has taken a turn. Unfortunately, that's a basegame update bug, and cannot be avoided by avoiding the pack.

    That is amazing work ! I seriously dunno how yall do it, got the patience for all that ! I am not going to get that pack, and my impression is that its worst than mods. The updates break the game, not the mods... that was always my theory ! anyways GL

    I knew the rebirth feature was never going to work, it's honestly sad that you can tell what features from a pack that is probably not going to work as they should just from watching the trailer.

    The San Myshuno bug is terrible, the festivals are already bugged where they all show at once, San Myshuno is ruined, City Living was one of my favorite packs.

    My festivals are bugged although I don't own Life & Death and did skip the recent (2 or 3) patches. So the problem might be older.

    I was able to clean up my festivals and get them to disappear and reappear with no issues after the September/October patch update. This most recent November patch /update is so deep in the game. They gotta fix this. I have two EP's that I own and can't use all the DLC because of bugs, For Rent is the other EP that I can't fully play. I'm not going to mess my game up or spend hours trying to repair a bug that EA is responsible for. I just keep simming! 🙂

    Edit: I am not experiencing lag or crashing in my game thankfully.

    Am not experiencing trouble with the festivals, but the game lag and loading lag are terrible! And I have never had problems with either until that update. I do not have L & D yet.  I was waiting for the bugs to be worked out and now I am kinda glad I did.

    Thanks for all the info @mightyspritesims

    i bought the  new Life and death pack.  Then read about the issues about apartments the other day.   I was having festival overlapping before buying Life and Death, but I was not experiencing the lag that I am in San Myshuno now.  I was playing a couple of male single Sims in a San Myshuno apartment after Lovestruck came out ( sending them on dates ), and was having no lag issues.  Then during the Reaper event I was playing a couple of female sims in Glimmerbrook ( a residential ) and was having no problems with lag.   After the patches for Life and Death I was playing an adult male/female couple in Henford on Bagley with no issues with lag.  After purchasing Life and Death, I kept playing My HOB couple ( they have a dog, cow, several chickens, a fishing pond, and a good size green house ) and the only problem I was having was that once the dog got stuck in the ground.   I  saved got out of the game and went back in and that fixed that.  About 8 hour ago or so,  ( November 13, 2024 ) I decided to make a new ‘save as’’, got out of the game closed it and then restarted it, went into tha ‘save as’ and tried to play my single male sims  in San Myshuno ( I heard about the apartment problems ).  Sure enough there were over lapping festival grounds again,  but this time I had extensive  lag, with my San Myshuno singles ( only 2 guys ), my game started not responding sometimes and I had Valentine’s Day, so I sent one on a date, out of San Myshuno ( the lag for them was still pretty bad ).  Their last date had been a gold, I only managed a bronze out of this one.  I with try my HOB couple next time I play and see if there is lag there now.    The lag was so bad I did not enjoy playing. I’m hoping they fix this soon, hopefully when they update taking off the reaper event ( which by the way was pretty bug free for me, I’m on a good hybrid Asus gaming laptop from 2018 , no SSD, no Mods, no CC,  I own all packs and kits ).but I have not been having problems normally, except my NPC at Copperdale Bubble tea not showing up behind the counter ). I hope the lag is a quick fix…
