Do you create stock characters / custom NPCs/"townies"?

Sometimes I get tired of seeing the same townies in every save so I usually download a bunch of families and drop them into random houses. I just like being surprised when I meet new sims. When I run into Eliza Pancakes for the tenth time, I already know all her traits and her personality so there's not really any fun aspect of meeting anyone new.

As such, there's not really any townie overlap or recurring townies in any of my saves because I want them to feel like totally different universes or towns.
