Do you enjoy Get Famous??? :)

I was very excited to get this pack and try to enjoy my game once again after months of avoiding it. I got the pack and went into my game. I switched my Sim's career and got her started on her tasks. I then went into CAS to look at all the new stuff which I hadn't seen before. All of this in about an hour. Then I came here and saw the comments about the CAS aging bug (which I turn Aging Off in my game). I haven't touched my game since, while waiting for an official patch for this. This just ruined any excitement I had for finally being able to enjoy my game again.

So far so good :)

It is early days though, so I guess it may become a little more boring. But I had my sims first gig audition and the actual gig today and totally loved it.

It's a lot of fun I'm having Season's vibes as when I first got that I took breaks to do other things and just had to get right back to it, later I imagine I'll mix it in to my other saves and newer ones differently probably but it's really enjoyable so far.

I'm loving it so far it adds more than I thought it would to the game.

True that. I don't think I could play the auditions 10 times, though I only let Frederik do auditions that require charm or musical talent so I'll have another sim do fitness related stuff I think xD I am however very excited that my sim can become famous developing video games, or making apps, or by playing music or by uploading and editing videos, or by having a famous restaurant (that will be the next thing I try xD) etc. So I think even after the novelty of acting wears off, which it will, for a career player like myself, this pack is perfect.

It's a fun pack, heavily reminds me of TS1 SuperStar

its actually better than I imagined it'd be!
everything (except the world size) is PERFECT. literally everything. the reputation AND fame systems are great, fun. I played for 12 hours straight when the game was out and I didn't get bored. (I got bored with every single EP and GP so far other than seasons)
JUST GREAT overall

I am enjoying it way more than I expected but there are some aspects that grind my gears.

Some might seem minor but are huge for me, for example, seeing my sims freaking out because of famous sims when I am playing another household. It doesn't suit most of my sims to do that and I really dislike to see them pass out because of Baby Ariel.
For example, the sim in the picture here, he would never ever freak out for any celebrity. He is a free spirited sim that grew up homeless and now has a nice family and likes to live his life off the radar and mostly off the grid. He will never ever care about any celebrity and yet, the game picks him to do it. I wish our played sims wouldn't get randomly selected for such things. It is so out of character.

I don't care to see the other townies because I evicted them all and don't play them but I really dislike my stories being broken by the game.
I am not a fan of the new world at all either and I think I will grow tired of the acting career pretty quickly.
The lounges and awards ceremonies are plain sad since it's only like 8 sims in the lot.
I don't want every sim to freak out over every celebrity.

But it is a very dynamic and fun pack overall, with great aditions to gampelay and surprisingly fresh ideas and attention to detail.
So for what it is, it gets a thumbs up from me. We'll see how it holds up over time.
