Some of the old saves were affected by glitches that popped up after a patch or update. I've managed to fix most of them. I have a one save from April 2017 that I go back to now and then because I like the Sims in it but the save itself is terribly broken.
Excellent idea, I need to get an external drive for my laptop before I loose everything on it.
