I normally create a testsim in CAS to roughly explore a new pack, but I don't keep a testsim in my save.
Back in TS3 I actually played a "sweet" couple who worked as testsims. They were also main characters in a story I posted on the simsdaily forum. Later I moved the posts to my blog, and it's still hanging in there (The Detesters) . It was a rather fun couple to play as the woman was extremely grumpy while the man was very sweet and understanding. The grumpy one hardly approved on anything she tested, LOL. So many fun situation when they tested CC - which was referred to as "imports". I think the funniest chapter was when they tested hairs :)
