Do you ever kill a sim because they’re just okay?

I've only purposefully killed a Sim for points in Pinstar's legacy challenge (I drowned him) and I felt so horrible when I did it. :( If I don't feel a connection to a Sim, I just kind of ignore them and let them do whatever they want, like I'm doing now with Akira. :D
