Usually I’ll go through and edit a few outfits, but I’ll always try to stick to the aesthetic of the character as much as possible!
I do agree that if I was to go ahead and start changing facial structure, etc that’s like a COMPLETE overhaul and I wouldn’t call it a make/over because you’re changing what makes them, well, them.
