I have favorite lots in most worlds that I tend to gravitate towards and put all my houses on, my sims usually end up in the same places all the time but with different houses, these are my usual picks:
In terms of premade lots my favorite community lot is the Rattlesnake Juice bar and my favorite house is Vlad's Mansion :)
