I have a generic lot with an abandoned shrine on it, and another residential lot that is a graveyard with a vampire sleeping in the crypt. Both are not made to be lived on, (no kitchen, bathroom, etc). If I got this pack and made that generic lot of the abandoned shrine, and the graveyard residential lot into a haunted lot, when my sims randomly visit, would they experience the haunting, or would I have to stand around the lot for hours hoping it decides to activate, Or do I have to activate it?
I don't know if this matters, but my sims would NOT have the medium skill (and I don't want to have it either) as these lots are just there for bravery test and other story telling reasons. I am looking to add some danger and fear to certain places like shrines, graves and the hidden lots in the world. Would this pack allow for that?
So far whenever I visit a haunted lot it has been quiet. Just now I had one of my characters visit the Goth house. We arrived at 9:45PM to a quiet house. Played chess with Alex etc. About 11:30 a Ghost appeared(spooky lot trait) and about midnight the first specter showed up and a doll was found in the hallway.
I restarted and visited the Goth house at midnight and there was a ghost already active. No specters and no noises. The first specter appeared about 3AM. It seems like it takes a good several hours to start. I'll visiting at about 6PM and staying late and then turn on heroic mode and see how it acts. It seems like it's following venue rules though which means it takes a bit for the party to start
Thank you for running these test for me. I am glad to hear that I won't have to use the seance table just to get the haunting to happen. It is sad I have to hang around so long for it to activate. It seems the lot won't really work for a quick visit to shrine, but it might do well for the courage test as long as I set some camping gear to accomedate their needs.
