@Midevil_Chaos Late reply yet again! Apologies.
I have been going to bed slightly too late recently. I am a night owl, but sometimes it gets out of hand. Especially if I'm going to bed almost at the same time I've got to get up. 😂 I've always had that problem, so it's not a new thing. 😅
I think doing a remake of the X-files with some inflatable aliens, costumes from H&M, and some overly fake looking wigs. And it would still be better some some of the rubbish Netflix and other film studios are making 😂. I still can't believe how Netflix take things and turn them into odd fan fictions. 🤣 I've seen so many 'adaptations' that have made unintentional comedies. It reminds me them memes that are like, for example: 'Luke Skywalker played by a Jeep' 'Han Solo played by Ice Cube' 'Princess Leia played by Mr. Mackay from South Park'. I don't know whether you've seen them memes but they always make me laugh, embarrassingly so, I have to admit. 😂
In fact there are many films that are deadly serious that have made me laugh. Either because of a low budget, or just a completely awful story that makes zero sense. 😂
And yes I'm not in any discord. 😂 But I never have been particularly 'cool'. It reminds me of you're earlier response to @simsplayer818 where you said you'd never "partied" in terms of like "clubbing", me neither. maybe I should now, just to see if I do like drinking a bunch of alcohol and jumping up and down a lot. 🤣
As for games I'm sorry to say I've never played Kirby. I can play games with darker themes without being that affected by it. I don't know what is about RDR2 that got to me, I think it was just that it there was no satisfying ending that saddened me. I also felt like shaking all of the main characters which didn't help! Lol. But everyone whose played RDR feels that I think.
You got me scared there for a day lol. I'm sorry though, hope I'm not making you stay up late on my account. 😥
We could do that. I can act, believe or not. It's been a long while, though more Shakespearian stuff. I mean, it's been a very long time - but I'm sure I could make someone cry as my writing tends to do that at times, so that would help with the acting. When you said from H&M, I thought you were talking about M&M and was very confused as to why you'd want us to get costumes at a supermarket. I was like, "they sell costumes?" Until I understood you said H&M, then that made more sense considering what they sell in comparison.
Really? If anything, I've seen some weird parodies in some Simpsons shorts. Around 5 minutes long or so. I do, however, watch Netflix way more. I've been watching some Anime on there actually. I've never really watched Anime, but I've started watching a bit - but more of the older genre like InuYasha. Considering I don't really look like a nerd, you've be surprised about some of the stuff I do at times lol.
Girl, when you said Mr. Mackay, I knew exactly who you meant LOL. Still nice of you to add South Park in there just in case. As for the memes you're referring to, send them my way if you get the chance. Oh! I remember once when I was probably in my early 20s, I went on a 'sorta date' with a girl. We went to see The Hills Have Eyes. She was laughing throughout the movie. 😂 Sounds like you 2 are similar in that respect. To be fair, I have watched movies which certainly did not intend laughter to be part of the experience XD
Finally! Someone who understands me 😆 I've never been someone to party... you see that bench there? Yeah? That's where I'll be, thank you very much! 😂 I am grateful my friends growing up in elementary and high school weren't the partying type. The fact that you aren't either as an adult? That is what I needed to hear lol. For me, I've never really drank throughout my life, as I never understood the appeal of it. But, I'm also just not a social butterfly by nature. Unless it's with a single person face to face, that's different. My offer of the Discord still stands if you're ever interested.
Thank God... I was just saying Kirby to be nice, but I've never ever liked Kirby. He's like a nightmare within a fluffy world. When you see him, you run for your life because you don't know what he's gonna do.
You know, I'll always remember when someone said that the Goombas in the Mario games are just minding their own business, and then out of nowhere, some man stomps them to death. Like, that Goomba could have a family, you don't know. Mario is THE antagonist of the franchise if you think about it looool.
Tell me, have you ever played the original Playstation game called Silent Hill with the lights out? That game, even to this day, is THE game that will... that will... *breathing in and out* scare you shitless. And I used to watch horror movies when I was younger, and there was nothing scarier than that game.

Don't worry I've always stayed up late, I'm quite a night owl. I've always been the one to keep other people awake too long. I always say to them don't stay up late just because I'm a vampire. 🤣
You sound quite the actor. I could never get into Shakespeare, as the old English language boggled my mind. 🤣 You making people cry with your writing proves it's good. I can cry easily at fiction too. Including Disney films even, I remember watching Coco and crying like a baby. I couldn't believe I was crying at a supposedly happy, sweet Disney film 😂 When I cry at fiction people always say "don't worry it isn't real". But I always say does it matter if something is real or not. I've always found it easy to put myself into the in the shoes of another person. It's just empathy whether the person is fictional or not. If fiction makes you laugh or cry, or both, it's a sign it's good. Sometimes that's not the case though, Sometimes you're crying because it's extremely bad (I have done that at a few films and games). 😂
There's nothing wrong with watching anime, it doesn't make you sound like a nerd at all. Some of the coolest people watch anime, I never knew what they were talking about though, they'd be like "You ever watched? ect ect", and I'd be like just staring blankly thinking the rock I must live under is a big one. It took me forever to know what people meant by "Naruto run". 😂 The same people would stare at me the same when I was like "You ever played the MySim series? OMG that series slaps, The MySims kingdoms soundtrack is an absolute banger" 🤣 I have a love for a few obscure Wii games they just give me heathy nostalgia. 😂
Glad to hear there's a girl out there who will laugh hysterically throughout a film about mutant killers in a public movie theater. Lol. Hope you had fun too, and not just her. 🤣 I've never watched Hills Have Eyes, although it's been on TV a few times, slashers don't interest me that much. The original was by Wes Craven though and his films always made me laugh, so I might have done the exact same thing as her. 😂
What you said about the Goomba's reminded me of RTGame talking about the Goombas being innocent pawns in bowsers weird obsession with kidnapping Peach, Lol. Poor Goombas 😂
Lmao silent hill is scary af to this day, I remember my brother playing it. He's more of a Mortal Kombat kinda guy, but loves many older games. I remember that, and resident evil 4's merchant with his 10/10 quotes like "Got some rare things on sale, stranger" 🤣

I've always been a night owl too. People who go to bed at like 22:00... Why? Don't you have anything better than getting up at 6:00? Even in university, my courses would start at like 10:00 minimum lol. ----- If you're as pale as me, you're probably a vampire. 😂
Oh, I don't know about that. Speaking in a theatrical voice is pretty simple, at least for me. And the those teary eyes... an art. 🤣 However, I am shy though.
Indeed! 😄 Whenever I write, I have a process and people would probably think it's nuts. I either listen my music collection, or I listen specifically to a track from a game - one sad af. That gets me in the mood to write the saddest things. When it comes to writing above anything else, I have an innate ability for that. I always have.
I would be genuinely curious to know what movies you watch that you cry. I have to admit, I've never heard anyone tell anyone else, "it's not real, don't cry" unless they're 5 years old, in which case it's because their prefrontal cortex isn't developed fully. Why would an adult say that to another adult? When an adult cries, they obviously know it's not real, but the emotions evoked ARE real. Ok, but I have to say... I am confused about why you'd cry about a bad game (or movie). I need an actual explanation for that lol.
Oh, I don't know anything about anime. Well barely anything (I only know stuff about InuYasha lol). I know who Naruto is, and that's it. What Naruto Run is, I don't know. 😂 That being said, I couldn't tell you the story, backstory or anything else about Naruto except what he looks like... at least his face. What Wii games are you referring to?
LOL, I can't recall much of it. Still not sure if it was a date tbh. It's been what, 10 years at this point. Maybe more? I've never seen her since. 😂 I dunno, I think her fb got hacked or something *shrugs*. Don't worry, not by me lol. Speaking of horror-like movies, have you seen the remake of Pet Semetary? It's my all time fav movie. It's so good. Like OMG good.
"Glad to hear there's a girl out there who will laugh hysterically throughout a film about mutant killers in a public movie theater." Sounds like you're one of those individuals too, like her? 😂 No judgement. If anything, I liked her for what it's worth. Oh! I will always remember this though, I went to the movies with my brother once - it was the Predator vs Alien movie (or whatever it's called). The Predator was in front of the girl after their *victory*. The Predator I *think* had his helmet on, and right before he took it off, a viewer screamed, "kiss!" and the theater burst out laughing. Hey! When you look as good as the Predator in the movie? Can you blame the viewer for screaming, "kiss!".
Wes Craven, now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time.
As for the Goomba part, it could have been him saying that. I can't remember where I saw it tbh. Possibly him (though the name is not familiar) or maybe Mike Matei or AVGN. I honestly can't recall.
"Lmao silent hill is scary af to this day" Yeeeeees, it is so scary. Who cares about modern graphics if you can't have the mood, ambiance etc. from a game like Silent Hill. When that ghostly apparition of a baby appears and scares the crap out of you? Lord have mercy.
- Missie_Kate3 years agoSeasoned Hotshot
I have no idea where my friend got them damn memes from! When I couldn't find hardly any I was freaked out. 😂
Yes, I'm pale too, it's just part of having Irish ancestry. 🤣
Being able to write is a real talent 😊. It takes a lot of presence of mind to know the reader needs everything explaining to them, as they aren't in the authors mind. The best writers have the most in depth descriptions, IMO. Affecting people with writing is difficult, as the reader has to be moved with words only. I on the other hand just don't have the patience to write well. Simply because, I have the issue of missing out small details and getting carried away. Being a good writer requires good patience IMO. Which I sometimes lack 😂
I think people in my life who have said that just don't want to me, or anyone else, to cry. It comes from a good place, really. I don't think they mean to be patronizing. 😂 As for why I've been upset at bad movies and games, I might have exaggerated at bit. 😂 But I have been unimpressed with many, maybe I'm just a diva for being angry with a film being awful, Or maybe just too sensitive. I had I similar reaction to The Last Of Us 2, I never played it as I knew they'd butchered the original story, which should've ended with the first game. I remember watching a certain streamer playing it, and crying at a very bloody scene. As she was genuinely crying, I cried too. It doesn't take me much to cry at genuine emotion. 😅 That game was so bad a lot of people cried/despaired throughout. The way the original story was ruined is very sad, I think the second game was just about vileness, really not cool.
The Wii games I'm referring to, well, I played quite a few. I'd say the MySims series are considered obscure to some people, Lol. I also played TS3 on the Wii which was different so say the least, not that I didn't enjoy it, it was just odd. 😂 And Naruto Run is just referring to the way in which Naruto runs, basically an anime style of running with the arms behind the back, Lol.
No, I haven't been to a movie theatre since I was around 7...Lol. I probably wouldn't make any noise in a movie theatre though. I just never fancy going to see a movie in a actual theatre. But I agree with you on Pet Semetary, I usually really enjoy anything by Stephen King. Accept from The Shining, that film just made me laugh, I do know though that Stephen King didn't actually like that adaptation from his book. I get it, the film was odd but pretty unintentionally funny. 😅
- Missie_Kate3 years agoSeasoned Hotshot
@Midevil_Chaos I forgot to add that when you mentioned watching the predator movie and the guy shouting kiss. reminded me of when boxers do that face off thing in an attempt to look like they want to fight, whenever I see it I always say "kiss already!" 😂

What can you do? Memes are difficult to come by when you're looking for the one you really want.
So... you burn in the sun after 10 minutes as well? *sigh* lol. 😂
It does take some, I guess? I mean... I have little patience for some things because I'm getting older *sigh*, and yet I manage to write books and then publish them. You know the meme of the little girl in pink, and she's like, "I dunno". That's me right now LOL. And also, same meme when you're in your 30s and 40s and think you're getting older. 🤣 If anything, when it comes to writing something, I literally have a document with X amount of lines, and each line has what each page, 5 pages or chapter will entail. Otherwise, forget it, it'll be pretty damn hard lol.
Maybe they aren't. Maybe I would be patronizing? I'd gently hold and tap your hand and be like, "there, there. It'll be ok. " 🤣🤣🤣 Meanwhile, I'd be confused as to why you're crying lol. To be fair, I don't cry in movies, maybe with the exception if it's something I experienced that was deeply traumatizing/painful, and was reminded of it in the movie. Or it can be an object, though I usually don't cry. The last time I cried was 4 years ago, almost to the day.
I have to admit... I've never played The Last of Us, nor the 2nd one. Please don't judge me. I dunno why. I've seen that game remade/remastered etc. like 3 times. 😂 So either it's really, really good... or they keep failing to make a good game. 😂 If it was as bad (the 2nd one), I would have been like, "what? this sucks" and stopped playing LOOOOOL. There are games if I really don't like them, I literally will stop playing.
Naruto runs with his arms behind his back? See, you know more about Naruto than I do. You're more of a nerd than a I am. 🤣 This is conclusive proof. Checkmate! 🤗
Whaaaaaat? Last time you went to the theater was when you were 7? You must be like me then, when it comes to being surrounded by people. I get it, I definitely understand. Hence the pale nature of my skin that burns in 10 minutes if outside lol.
For The Shining, I recall seeing it and the axe scene and all... but not much else. I think for me, it was probably more akin to a deluded psychopath trying to be funny in a horror-like movie. Yeah, I'll go with that. Imagine that. - Midevil_Chaos3 years agoSeasoned Veteran
Yes, they should :D
- Missie_Kate2 years agoSeasoned Hotshot
I do burn in the sun very easy, sunscreen doesn't cut it sometimes. So in the midday I don't venture out, or at least that's my excuse anyway. 😂
I wouldn't be patronized by that. I don't get patronized by people that mean well, one bit. And personally I think 95% of the people that watched Coco cried when the grandma died 😂. Disney is sometimes hardcore sometimes lol, I cried at Bambi too 🤣. I also cried at Iris Von Everec's story in TW3, Wow, that story was very touching. TW3 is an amazing game though, It's probably one of my favourite games of all time though, so I'm biased! 😂
Don't worry about not playing TLOU. I can't say I've played many of different games, I just have games that I replay that I are my favourites. I'd say TLOU 1 didn't need a remaster at all. It's a good game, I enjoyed the first quite a bit. But the second is just...yeah...😬 It didn't need a second that's the problem, the story ended in the first. As for the remasters, I have no idea why it keeps being remastered, Money maybe? I think they changed too much with the remasters actually. The 2013 version is the original and best IMO, the atmosphere felt tense at times. And yes, some parts made me cry. 😂 I sound like I cry at everything now, but I don't, I swear. 🤣
A nerd! 🤣 Okay I'll accept that. 😂
As for The Shining, It was supposed to be a horror, but was a comedy to me. 😂 This particular scene made me laugh a lot, and has stuck with me The Shining - (Clip) Man in Bear Suit - YouTube 🤣
- Midevil_Chaos2 years agoSeasoned Veteran
Oh, we both know that's not the real reason, but merely the "official" reason. Since no one can argue about skin actually "burning", it's a great excuse to use honestly. "Oh, you wanna go out today, to the park and then to this fancy restaurant. Jeez, I dunno about that... it's so sunny outside, you know I'll burn" Secretly inside, you're all like, *Phew! Disaster averted! I can't believe the nerve of some people, thinking I can go out like that, with skin so fair as mine*. 😂 Alright, the last part was a bit dramatic, but *shrugs*.
Oh, I am so sorry. I have never played any of the Witcher Games. I never liked 1st person games. I feel like if you're gonna have a game, you absolutely need to see the character, otherwise, you're actually playing as a weapon. If they remade the franchise in 3rd person AND allowed you to customize the character, I would totally try it out at that point.
I might be spoiled with some amazing game franchises like Mass Effect, Neverwinter Nights and Dragon Age, but I absolutely love when your character is your character based on who you want them to be. You obviously can't do that with characters like Link or Mario lol, but when it comes to other games, hell yeah. Which is why I didn't really enjoy Star Wars Fallen Order (that and the story was meh - and you couldn't get a red light sabre until you actually completed the game... ugh. Which red is the best light sabre colour).
Why is The Witcher 3 your fav game? Is it the gameplay, the story or something else?
I've never heard of Coco before *me/ after 5 minutes of googling it* Ah yes, that movie. I had no idea it was called Coco lol. I assume you are part of the 95% of people who cried during that movie? 🤗
I feel ya, I will buy new games sometimes, either because it's a new entry in the franchise (like Mass Effect for example), or because it's a new game from a franchise that may not have something like that which was ever released and I'm psyched about. It's not to say I would necessarily enjoy the game (though I hope I do). I bought the last Zelda game for that reason, and I'll buy the next one (Tears of the Kingdom - I think it's called). Otherwise, I buy older games at times on gog if they are remastered. Have you ever heard of Pharaoh? That game was amazing and soooooooo addictive. I will be buying the new remastered game, and I am so grateful they remastered the game. I will buy it in the future once I get the chance :D
"I sound like I cry at everything now, but I don't, I swear." I mean... 🤣 I don't spend every waking moment of the day with you. I dunno if you do or not 🤣. But, there is no reason for me to not believe you. So, I have to believe you... right? 😂
Ah ah! I knew it, you are a nerd! 😄 Takes one to know one. 😂 Wait a minute!
Was that clip for real? I don't remember a bear in the movie 😂😂😂 - Missie_Kate2 years agoSeasoned Hotshot
Exactly! How dare those sun walkers bring us pasty people into the light, it's dangerous! 😂
I totally get why you prefer customisable games. It means you can really explore different characters, and make your own story, in a way. I really enjoyed TW2 and TW3 because of many things, the humour, landscapes, stories, soundtrack, characters, and overall atmosphere. Also the expansions of TW3 are some of the best expansions I've ever played. The stories are just really immersive and really well done for the most part. I really enjoy well done stories. and The Witcher games are based of the original Witcher books. So it gives the game even more depth with having around 6 books, I think? I don't bother with the series though, it's just not The Witcher it's just...🤨. As for the books, some bits I liked, some not so much, parts I personally would've wrote differently. I've never played Dark Souls or Dragon Age, they are the two games it get told to play the most, I still don't know why I haven't yet. 😂 In fact the friend I mentioned before, met her friend through World of Warcraft, and their mutual love of Stardew Valley, so chatted on discord about it. she's the one that suggested to me to play Dark Souls and Dragon Age, I still haven't played any of them yet sadly. I think I live under a rock sometimes. 🤣
Yes, not ashamed I cried at Coco, Disney knew what they were doing there. 😂
I haven't played Pharaoh sadly, but I'll check it out. As for Zelda I felt like Breath Of The Wild was released more recently than it was, so I googled it and was released in 2017! I had no idea they were releasing the new game in a few days. Lol
And yes, that bear scene really was in The Shining! It was sooo random 🤣 It made me really laugh when they just popped up outta nowhere. The bear isn't in the movie until that point, when Shelley Duvall catches them getting freaky. Those fellas should've closed the door over at least! 🤣🤣🤣
- Midevil_Chaos2 years agoSeasoned Veteran
I don't know. I wish people would understand. I figure you and I are Drow (from Neverwinter Nights - they were akin night Elves preferring the undergrounds), and the fact that some people have the audacity to look down on us. *Shake fists at the Sun Walkers*
That's understandable. Typically, games can be fun based on one or several factors: A) Vast open world B) Great story C) Great character customization D) Replayability E) In depth game mechanics etc.
I will say this, Dragon Age Inquisition is probably the best game ever made, aside from the original Neverwinter Nights. The OG NWN has way more races and classes to play with. Back in the day I had 10GB of mods for that game. Mind you, that was in the early 2000s. I may not have the patience to play the OG NWN because it is truly story driven, but if you get the chance to play that game... please do so. Get the Diamond edition. If there was a game I ever fell in love with, it was Neverwinter Nights back in the early 2000s. I wish there would be a genuine remaster of Neverwinter Nights, without changing a thing in the game in terms of the mechanics. That game with updated and modern graphics would be stupendous!
I tell you what, if you play either the OG NWN or DAI from A-Z, I will play one of the Witcher games. I know I have the one called The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. What do you say, wanna do that? You wouldn't say no to another pasty underground dweller, would you? 🤗🤗🤗 And yes, I'm already kicking myself for suggesting this cuz I'm slightly scared of playing a Witcher game, but it could be fun? 😄
I have never played Dark Souls, so I can't comment on that franchise. Though I heard good thing about it as well. Although, I would say DMC (Devil May Cry) was good. I had only briefly played one of those games, and it was fun for what it's worth. So, you could also try that franchise out as well. That is, if you don't wanna play Dark Souls.
Yeah, it feels like the last Zelda game wasn't that old, but yeah it's 6 years old lol. That being said, I hope the next game does NOT have that dumb sword breaking mechanic which made the game frustratingly annoying at times.
Someone must have been drunk or something... why was there a bear in there? 😂
- TTZ_Dipsy2 years agoHero+
I normally create near-identical copies of my friends and family to start but always end up creating some sort of dopplegänger version to balance things
- Missie_Kate2 years agoSeasoned Hotshot
For sure! Being an elf has many benefits, being superior in life span, extremely good looking. And of course underground dwelling, in the case of the Drow elves anyway! 😂
You know what makes a great game, for sure! I've been meaning to play DAI for a long time as I know many people really love it. Seriously though, you don't have to play The Witcher just because I enjoy it. 😂 If 1st person RPG's don't float your boat you don't have to play it, seen as those types of games aren't your usual choice.😄 But if you do play it, my first recommendation is to make sure you play it with both Blood And Wine and Hearts Of Stone expansions. They change a 8/10 game into a 10/10, IMO of course. 😄 And my second is, when I first played I was shocked at some of the random nakedness'. 🤣 So the game is 100% a 18 mature rating, that's for damn sure! Lol. So you'll have to get used to the random butt shots that happen, if you do happen to play it. 😂 So maybe don't play it around anyone that is sensitive to things that can be in a 18 rated game, Lol. I first played it with no knowledge of anything about it, so I went bright red when the beginning of the game opens with a booty. 🤣 The game is still great though, I really enjoy a good RPG, and it delivered for sure. Without any spoilers, the ending you get is based on your decisions as the player. So it's really fun to me, even though I do the same things every time I play. 😂
I agree about Zelda, I get a bit annoyed when weapon wear is included in games. I'm not usually into combat in games though, so anything combat related doesn't excite me much anyway. I think other things in games are more important, but that's just me. 😄
I have no idea why they were getting it on with one of them in a bear suit. 🤣 Maybe Stanley Kubrick thought that was creepy as it can get. 😂 Stephen King must've been freaked out when he saw that film thinking to himself..."I didn't write any of this!" 😂😂
- Midevil_Chaos2 years agoSeasoned Veteran
lol, nice 🙂 That's what it's about. :D
- Midevil_Chaos2 years agoSeasoned Veteran
I didn't want to say anything, but you are 100% right on both counts 🙂 I was alive last century and still alive THIS century. And probably next one too, right? I'm not sure how good looking I'll be in comparison to now, but I guarantee you someone will be like, "awwww, isn't he cute?". 😂 I will assume the same about you! As for the underground dwelling, we may have no choice but to bunker down once the leaders of the world decide on some crazy schemes. Ah, that's why you play games like The Last of Us. Smart.
Bah! A deal is a deal, friend 🙂 Connecting to EA App now... Tense moment until I realize it's not on that platform. Opening GOG... Tense moment now. Come on now GOG, load. Installing now. Even more tenser moment *looks at watch and looks at time left for download* ok, this... will take probably 30-60 minutes to install. 🤣
I seem to have the original game, enhanced, but ima try the 3rd one since you'd be playing the 3rd installment of Dragon Age. If ever you need some background info on the series, let me know. I'd be more than happy to talk to you about the franchise.
I know that some games have 18+ "content", yet it's interesting that it's not considered AO (adult only) as opposed to M (Mature). The crazy part, is that it's not most of the game that's like that, but some minimal parts of the game. And that is lots of games 😂
And naw don't worry, any people possibly not suited for those games live at my sister's.
Oh! I can't remember if I asked, did you play the Mass Effect franchise? It's undoubtedly the best franchise imo.
If you don't like combat per se in terms of "active combat", the original Neverwinter Nights has this unique system. There I said it! Unique. Basically, you can pause the game using the space bar in the middle of combat, and then queue whatever action(s) you want. Such a great thing to have. You may have other systems if you decide to switch to them, but don't quote me on that, as it's been a very long time.
I can't remember in which expansion of NWN it was in (it might have been in the base game), but there is this epic sword. I can't say too much since I don't want to spoil anything should you choose to play the game. The original NWN has 2 expansions - Shadows of Undrentide AND Hordes of the Underdark. They are included, I am sure, with the Diamond edition. But that sword I mentioned, is the BEST and COOLEST sword in any possible game to date, I promise 🙂 And you'll know which sword I mean the moment you obtain it.
*Katie be like/ Ima befriend that huge ogre there* 5 days later in the world of Hyrule, a priest is like, "we are gathered here dear friends to mourn our friend". 😂 Sorry, I couldn't help myself *smiles*, as you left the door wide open for a joke here.
You know... he probably wrote it. He was most likely on set and was like, "You there, mascot. I want you in this shot with this man. Surprise me!" Needless to say he was surprised.
- Missie_Kate2 years agoSeasoned Hotshot
Really hope you enjoy it! 😊★
I will jump into DAI without knowing anything, as per usual. Lol. I do that with every game. I know it's sometimes difficult to get into a game you don't know anything about, but I always find it fun to learn as I play. I enjoyed that about TW3, I knew nothing accept the characters bio's at the start. Of course then I learnt more about the backstories while playing through the game, and then eventually reading more about the lore outside the game to further my understanding of some of the references. Not that you need to, as CDPR do a great job with explaining the back stories IMO anyway. 😄
Yes! Lol. Even in TW3 playing the part of a monster slayer I didn't hurt any of the trolls in the game, they're just too sweet! 😂 So Indeed, Hyrule would be at permanent risk of monsters taking over with my dislike for combat in game. 🤣
Surprised! That is the word to describe what I thought of it too! 😂 In fact that entire film could be called surprising. 🤣🤣
Also, 100% who wouldn't want to be an elven mage! I know I do anyway! 🤣
- Midevil_Chaos2 years agoSeasoned Veteran
I hope so too 😂 We shall see how good of a game it is. Ima probably start the game later tonight though.
I have to admit that in most games, I absolutely hate playing any type of wizard/mage class. I've never been good when it came to playing with those. I once failed miserably playing as a Cleric once in NWN. I tried, I really tried... try killing an enemy with a wooden staff not meant for hitting. That being said, I absolutely love playing as a mage/wizard (or whatever they call it) in DAI. There is something about playing with a controller that is awesome with the game's mechanic. I am 100% sure you will enjoy it.
That being said, for some reason, whenever you boot up the game, it won't recognize the controller unless you turn the controller on first before booting the game up, not sure why. But, just thought I'd let you know. I've played the game with both a 360 controller an Xbox One controller fine thus far.
In terms of the character's bio etc., you learn everything about it ingame. The character isn't based on any characters from the previous games (they never are). That being said, you will learn a lot of him/her/them throughout the game. There are some recurring enemies you may have encountered in previous games. That's all I will say.
I... uhm... didn't realize you would actually let Ganondorf take over Hyrule. 😱
There are movies out there that you could totally watch and wonder what's going on in terms of the plot. Others, like Police Academy where you wonder why we haven't heard from that franchise again, considering it has 7 movies (and an animated series and 1 or 2 season(s) tv show).
I am happily surprised we were able to exchange as much as we did so far. I'm usually not really a people person.

I think you'll enjoy it especially now I've started DAI. 😁
So far I've spent longer than I'd like to admit in character creation. Lol. I think I've played for around 5 hours, and 3 of them were in character customisation. 😅 I actually told my friend (the one I mentioned before) that I've finally started playing DAI. And she left a message on my Animal Crossing town bulletin board saying "You better romance Iron Bull or we won't talk anymore" 🤣 and the second said "you won't get one of the best moments in the game 4real if ya don't do that". 🤣 Idk whether you've ever played Animal Crossing, but everyone who comes to your town sees your messages on your bulletin board. So I think if anyone else saw that they will be very confused, including me! 😂 I haven't even met his character yet. I've literally just met Cassandra and only played the first quest. Lol. So thank you for not giving any spoilers, unlike her, who was way too tempted. 😂😂
And nooo I wouldn't let Ganondorf do that. 😂 I just get on with the combat, even though it isn't my favourite in any game! lmao. 😅
And don't worry, to say you're not a people person you do well! 😄 I haven't ever posted on here, before about a week ago, despite having a EA account for 8 years! 😂 I actually came to report the face bug and then probably not log again, but I somehow ended up on this thread. 😂 So thought I'd post a little message on here, as something made me want to. I don't have discord or reddit, or anything similar. So must admit, usually I just read other peoples comments, rather than post my own. What a lurker I am! 🤣

Good! I played around 3 hours so far of TW3 Wild Hunt. Do the choices make an actual difference in the game? As far a I remember, for DAI, it does.I am with you on that. Character creation is my favourite part of games, aside from making decisions. Which is probably why I love DAI, there is something so... amazing about that game. That being said, what race and class did you pick? As for Iron Bull... prepare to potentially not be friends with that other friend. 😂 Don't get me wrong, Iron Bull is pretty cool. But... there is a specific woman in the game I prefer myself. That being said, I won't say more. As for Cassandra, she's... something. I won't say good or bad, but she's quite something.
So far with TW3, it's very different mechanic wise. I've had trouble adjusting myself when it comes to physically moving my character lol. That being said, gog revamped the game and added content to it. Now it's 3rd person, with a mod for 1st person. I remember when I tried years ago, it was 1st person, and I was like, "nope!" I'm still getting used to moving... and I left my horse behind. It was easier going to my destination in a beeline than having him go off road (with the auto ride or whatever they call it), since it would take the left road when the destination was on the right. So I was like... aight, ima run there instead 🤣 No wonder, with a horse named Roach. 😂 He must be wanting to avoid humans.
No, I have never played Animal Crossing. I had an Xbox One until the Switch was out for like 4 years. Then, I bought the Nintendo Wii U. 😂😂😂 I was a generation behind, and only got it to play Zelda tbh. Then... I heard Front Mission (1, 2 and 3) were being remade for the Switch, so I bought a Switch later down the road. 🤣
Girl, we both know we'd take one look at Ganondorf, while pointing at a cave, and be like, "ima hide in there. I wanna survive, I don't wanna give myself up as bait or food for that thing. Although, getting food first would be wise. And water."
To be honest, I usually don't post on here either. I had my reasons as well (nothing nefarious, I promise lol), and then someone named Katie started posting lol. We got along, and I was like, "ima continue posting, because she's cool". To be frank, I don't have friends that really game (aside from my Discord group), so I thought it was awesome having someone who knows games and that I can talk to. In all honesty, my Discord family sometimes talk about cars and other mechanical stuff and I'm like, "..." and then I'm like "... ...". Thus, I am grateful I can talk to someone who I assume (but I could be wrong), doesn't ever want to talk about that type of stuff lol.
The way I see it, is that you have "people" and then you have "people 😎" (or is that "😎 people"?). People tend to stress me out, but people I actually get along with, I'm cool with them.

Indeed it does! The choices you make have a massive impact on the story and dialogue you get. BTW I've never seen TW3 from a 1st person perceptive. The games from TW1, TW2, and TW3 were always in 3rd person. So I have no idea how you ended up thinking it was a 1st person game? I wouldn't have played it if it was a 1st person game as they always remind me of shooters, and as you probably would've guessed, they're not my forte either. 😂
Also without giving any spoilers, Roach is a mare. Geralt always has female horses, specifically mares, and always names them Roach. 😊 Also remember, if you do make a certain decision you're not to keen on the way it plays out, you can always re-load. 😄 I actually choose the the same choices I choose the first time I played, as I'm very happy with them. I will say there is a series of questions early in the game that refer back to TW2. So that might confuse you a little, so if you run into a problem with them, just ask and I'll explain them. 😄 Btw you'll find TW3 is incredibly detailed, I personally, probably have around a 1000 hours in it and still find new things out when I replay. I almost forgot to say Cassandra voice actress sounds so much like a characters in TW3 Blood and Wine expansion. My favourite expansion of TW3, personally. 😊
Also, I too have a favourite lady in TW3, of whom that is I won't share. No spoilers here! 😂
Yes! totally, I'd be like "just chill dorfy, is it that important you own all of Hyrule? We can cut a deal, so you can have your own little area, then no fights needed" 🤣
"Nothing nefarious" 😂😂 I wouldn't have thought not posting on here was? LOL. That would mean I was the most nefarious person going. 🤣 As I literally haven't posted on here ever in my 8 years of having an account. 😅 And yes! I literally don't know anything about cars. All I know is they have wheels and a engine that should start when you turn the key. 🤣 Like I said before, anything that looks mechanical and complicated I won't touch. Major respect for people who do know what they're doing, unlike me. 😂

Well then, I am curious to know what choices I can make. I dunno. I had tried several of them, and when I played them, they were always in 1st person for me. I dunno if they were forced mods by gog? I dunno *shrugs*. 😵 But I now get to try it in the 3rd person view. I don't play 1st person games, but for other reasons - I never liked the idea of playing as "arms" + a weapon. That just makes no sense to me and never did.
I just meant with a name like Roach... I feel bad for the horse. Thank God she doesn't understand human speech. Imagine if that was someone's nickname, I'd be horrified by that.
As for making choices, what if the choice you didn't choose end up being more interesting though? Would you watch a playthrough to see the other choices? Or you would stick with your initial choice? Colour me intrigued!
When I play the ME franchise, I often play a certain way so I end up seeing different choices, because I couldn't know what choice was better without knowing. To be fair, I sorta-ish play the same as you to a certain degree because if I can get rid of a specific character in the game for example, I'd always pick that choice (if I hate that character). That being said, it's hard at that point to feel fully content. So I understand why you play the way you play.
1000 hours you say? I can dig that. Especially if the game is amazing. Who knows, maybe you'll end up playing DAI just as much or even more. 😄 I think that could be the case *me/ crossing my fingers*
It could be the same actress, btw. You can google it (as I have no idea which person you're referring to in TW3). I've seen some voice actors in different franchises lol. It's so weird though when that happens.
If you'd call him "dorfy". I think he would would very confused for a moment, and be like, "what did she just call me? What even is a dorfy?" Oh... I see. Smart move. You would do that to run away, expecting Link or someone else to make "peace" with Ganon. I gotchu.
Your nefarious post at the end. That was good LOL. If anything, what I had said sorta sounded suspicious LOL, so hence why I added the words "nothing nefarious", which yeah, is to clear the air. That's just how I am lol. I assume a lot of people would find that odd to say the least XD *shrugs*
I knew it! You ARE a Drow. Maybe not in DAI, but at least in real life. 😎
I am so glad you don't like cars. That is the best news I've had today! 😂
- Missie_Kate2 years agoSeasoned Hotshot
I have never played The Witcher 3 through gog, so I'd imagine it's on their side as to why the game was odd. I've played it on console, and also watched other playthroughs after I'd finished my own, and all are in 3rd person like RDR and many other RPG's. 😊 The game was developed to be 3rd person. So I have zero ideas why the game was in 1st person for you. 🤔
The name Roach means something to Geralt. but even in the books he doesn't share exactly what the name means to him, even when people ask. I was like "Roach is her name, really?" at first too. There's never an explanation sadly as to why he chose a name like Roach, for a sweet pony like...…Roach. 🤣
I have watched many playthroughs of alternate choices, and how it changes the ending. I watched xLetalis and Jinzee/ProperBird on YouTube for that. I have my own "canon" choices that I always choose, so therefore I call them my canon. 😂 I didn't play with other choices. As I just couldn't bring myself to choose anything that might lead to a bad ending. I love my canon ending to much for that. 😂 But couldn't help checking out all the alternatives, and it made me more happy with my choices. 😊
Yes, 1000 hours! It was exceptionally easy too, I love that CDPR gives you your money's worth when it comes to content for sure! I am enjoying DAI a lot so far, so maybe 1000 hours will be possible to meet some day! 😄
She's not the same VA, I googled it as soon as I heard her voice, Lol.
There's a lot that can go wrong with cars too, so they've always scared me rather than excited me. 😂
- Missie_Kate2 years agoSeasoned Hotshot
I also forgot to say I choose Elven Mage as my selection for DAI! I'm also playing as a female for my first playthrough. 😊★
- Midevil_Chaos2 years agoSeasoned Veteran
Wait. I was sure I had seen your comment as the Elf and responded. I found my comment. Wait, why is my comment about you being a Drow before you said you were an Elven Mage. 🤯 This is weird? But ok lol.
Ohhhhhh, that may explain it. No one wants to play 1st person on a console lol. 1st person is the bane of my gaming existence. At least you have my back when I say that. As for types of games I'm utterly horrible at would include any platformer and any online FPS, because I never cheat like countless people.Ok! I couldn't help myself. But since we're talking about a horse here and a man who is apparently despised by random people, I think the following is funny... so please forgive me - pretty please *puppy eyes*. 😂 Geralt is just a *, right? That's why he doesn't tell anyone about why he calls her that:
Geralt: "You are one ugly horse, so ugly. Your name will be Roach from now on." That's what happened. I can't imagine naming a horse Roach and think it's ok to call him the same thing as a cockroach. When I heard the horse's name, I was like, "wtf is wrong with you, dude?" He is NOT ok as a character. *shake fist atRoachGeralt* yes, I am that tired 😂 hence why I am just striking out what I had written in first, since it makes it funnier.Oh, I see. You look at other people playing and then knowing you made the right decisions. Aight, aight (I work with young people - their influence). As for what you consider a bad ending, what is a bad ending? I mean, how do you honestly define an ending as bad?
Have you ever played Front Mission 3 on PS1? If not, please play both paths (they are very different from each other - like 2 different stories, for real), and tell me which path is good. I absolutely love that game, and I've always wanted to know which ending was "good". I need a definitive answer.
I am glad you're enjoying DAI thus far. It's a fairly lengthy game, and is pretty damn amazing imo. Choose your options carefully. This is one game where you may think the choice you make is the right now, but may or may not be.
A lot, yes. Like falling over while trying to get in using the step (if there is one) because you're almost 6 feel tall. Thank God we don't have that car. Although, I actually don't drive. 🤣
- Missie_Kate2 years agoSeasoned Hotshot
I had trouble with that post. so I think I accidently posted it twice, sorry about that. 😂
I've also played TW3 on PC, and it was in 3rd person. So I think 100% it was a forced mod, as the game comes in 3rd person, how annoying to have a 1st person perspective when the game was made in to be in 3rd person. Seriously though, who wants a forced 1st person mod? That's just cruel! 🤣
Geralt is a darling really, some people are just rude to him for absolutely no reason. 😂
What I consider a bad ending is a ending that I don't like, it might not be in other peoples opinions though. Also endings that don't match the characters personalities, I want lore accurate stuff here! 😂 (I just can't bring myself to choose a option that I don't like personally. it's just a habit of mine).
I've never played Front Mission 3 on PS1. But funnily enough I was reading a couple of weeks ago that it'll be remade for the switch. Maybe I'll play it on the switch when I get the chance. 😊
I love lengthy games! I know some people complain about games being "too long" but I seriously love long games. It's amazing to be impressed that you've actually gotten your money's worth! TW3 is also a long game filled with amazing content. Also in TW3 there's character panel where you can read a bit about the background of some of the characters, it doesn't tell you everything. But it does tell you the basics you need to learn more about them! 😄
I don't have the being tall problem with cars as I'm only 5'4. 😅 But I have injured myself climbing in and out of cars anyway. (I am clumsy though, so maybe that's why.😂)
Oh, and make sure you don't get so tired you go on angry rants. 😆 I do the same thing but go on what I call one of my confusing rants, that confuse me, and anybody else! 🤣
- Midevil_Chaos2 years agoSeasoned Veteran
Ooooooh, that makes a lot of sense 😂 I thought I was just really tired and you know. You got me good there!
I think we can both agree that people forcing 1st person view are... I hate use the word, but evil. You try living a good life, but then someone comes around, and then baaaaam! Imposition of 1st person view. How dare they soil what could have been perfectly good games? 😫 lol.
Geralt, a darling? I dunno man, I haven't played enough to know if he is. But, I will for now take your word for it. There is someone or 2 that are what you would consider darlings in DAI. I know they'll feel real, and your emotions just as much so, but remember they are fictitious. 😃 But I do get it. You play with them for so long and then the story ends. If I may, there is a certain bearded man... go for him all the way. That's all I'll say. You'll thank me. 😄
Nobody likes a bad ending lol. Unless you're the villain OR running a "renegade" playthrough. I do love SWOTOR (not the MMO, but the actual 2 games)... and you get to play as a Sith if that suits your fancy. 😏
This just popped into my head, have you played Super Mario RPG? That's the ONLY Mario game I ever replay, because it is such an SNES gem. Do you have a Switch? If so, see if you can get that game through the Switch's SNES emulator.
Yeah, and I also mentioned that in one of my posts here about FM 3. 🤣 If you get the chance, play the remake. All the games are unrelated to each other, so you won't be missing a beat 🙂 The 3rd is imho, the magnus opus of games. Dead serious. I hope the remake will reflect that. If you do end up playing it, we can play it together at the same time and talk about it 🙂
Lengthy games can be fun, but the game HAS to be fun in and of itself, obviously. I remember my first playthroughs of FM 3, since there are 2 paths, I played the game again. Each path is minimum 75 hours each, if played normally. Or much more, depending on how you play it. Or possibly less. Again, depends how it's played.
As for TW3, I'd have to read some once I get used to the game lol.
5"4? That is the perfect height. You're not too tall, but not too short where it's an inconvenience. I could be be wrong, you're the one who is 5"4 lol. While I'm a few inches short of 6 feet. Though I do have to ask (as I am apparently the more nosey one here): How did you injure yourself getting into a car?
lol, naw. What could become an "angry" rant if it I'm annoyed at someone because of something. If I'm simply very tired, I may take much longer to formulate my thoughts lol.
