Do you play as your Simself?

Hey!
On this forum there have been many discussions and debates regarding representation and inclusion in the Sims.

It made me wonder if there are many people out there actually playing as their Simself, or even simified their whole family?

I know that one time, a younger member in my family created her house and the entire (close) family. She played with them (us) like dolls. I don't know if I survived in her game...I must ask.

I personally can't do it. But I can understand why people might want to.

Do you sometimes play as your Simself?

Voted for "other". In the past I've created my Simself and my partner. I tried to make it too much like our real lives; starting out really basic and working our way up to our different houses and not using any cheats. Unfortunately I don't have the Pets or University expansion packs so it wasn't really realistic in representing us in that way. Eventually I got bored and stopped playing that particular save.
Generally I play to escape my real life and to get away from socializing so I guess it felt a bit strange to me to be playing my Simself. I may give it another attempt in the future though, I guess I'll see.

I always make a Sim-Me (and a Sim-Myhusband), but I haven't actively played myself since TS2 ... I was too sad when my husband died. So instead they get to be NPCs in the background, forever.

I did make a sim me once but soon lost interest. Also created my house in game which was the most depressing thing imaginable....made me realiese how horrible and tiny my house really is!
