Do you play with sound?

I play with the build music off because it just grates on my nerves lol. Otherwise so long as my husband is not in the room watching TV its on. I play on my laptop and I've got kids and grandkids running around so I only get to play some during the day and mostly at night. The Sims talking annoys my husband lol. So if he's awake its off. Any other time like during the day or when he's knocked out I play with the sounds on.

all sound is off - IMHO, it's annoying

I play with the sound on but the "game" music all the way down and stereo type music down to about 40%.

I play with sound sometimes, but most of the time the sound is on. The music level is low and so is the sound fx, but they're higher than the music. i just need to hear what's going on because that just makes the game so much better in my opinion. the silent virtual reality thing never made any sense to me. but then again sometimes i play in public spaces and forgot my earphones so there's that.

Sometimes I play with all the sound on, sometimes I play with music off in game, and youtube music video/music live feed in background. When I play with all sound on, I always fill most of my Custom Music folders that correspond to the radio stations in-game. Even the kids station (with Amazon or iTunes freebies).

I do the same thing!

I always play with sound on. I like the sounds and music but I think I like Sims 4 music the least. It seems like Sims 4 has less variety of music or something because I play the radio less in this version of the Sims than any other.
