- SheriSimSeasoned HotshotI said sometimes because I do use most of the premades at some point. Some more than others. I have used a few townies that actually showed up in the town. I probably have about 15 townies favorited- I built families around a couple of them. To a male teen and his adult mother I added a young adult brother and added an elder father to the family. The brother and father are writers, the mother has tried a couple of different things. When university comes out I think I may make her a teacher. I also had A townie family with a little girl, teen age son, mother and father that I added. And I have several single townies that I liked and have used for girl friend, boy friend, soon to be husband/wife. I also have a townie father with a male child that I use. I also had an elder female that I made a granddaughter for. I have many non favorited townies that have been around for awhile because they are friends with some of my sims, or premades I play. I wish they would increase how many we can favorite.
- SharoooniaNew SpectatorI play with the premades more than anything else. I also have a bunch of random townies that have been made over clothes wise that I keep in my game for purposes of socializing, dating, marrying with my premades. I'm not really that into making my own sims although I do have a few that I made. I very much enjoy playing with the premade family setups that ship with the game and it's packs.
- ChadSims2Seasoned NoviceOne of the first thing I do when I get a pack is remove all the premades.
- You missed the option "I always use them" :P I suck at making my own sims, so I like premades <3 And in TS2 what is my main game, I count "user mades" as premades :) As those are made by someone else than me :) As in TS2 I love custom hoods.
And TS4 , I still suck when it comes to making a sim :D I can handle makeovers well, but not starting from the beginning, LOL.
If i make my own, THEY END UP LIKE IDENTICAL COPIES OF EACH OTHERS,so, better if someone else makes sims for me, LOL. - Kimmer_oneRising TravelerThey are always a part of my game. I can't think of Sims 4 without the premades.
Only once I deleted all the premades and a bunch of townies and replaced them with my own Sims because I wanted to try something new. I missed them and the game felt empty without them.
I often play with the premades, they're at least friends or enemies to my Sims or I like to marry my Sims with them. I also like to use other Maxis made Sims in my game. I like them because they all look so different and unique, they are quirky and fun. - mariefoxprice83Seasoned HotshotI mostly use them as spouses for my characters. I don't very often play them in their own right.
- I don't use premade Sims because I generally don't like their stories, aspirations, or traits. Maxis seems to make them with big heads and exaggerated features which I don't find particularly interesting. I don't like seeing them at every social event, venue, or community lot so they are replaced within the first Sim week of a new save. However, I keep all of the premade occult Sims.
I got tired of seeing Mila and Joaquin appear as gym trainers when there were better choices like Don, J., Dina, Marcus, or Paolo. Instead of using a premade Sim with the Active trait, my game uses Mila, Moira, and Mele Kahananui as lifeguards. All of them are adult females with no apparent interest in being active or fit. Moira loves the outdoors which is probably why I see her sitting on benches everywhere until she suddenly becomes a Lifeguard with Level 10 Fitness which qualifies her for instant deletion.
I've played the Vatore siblings in the past. I got bored with the Vatores a long time ago, especially Lilith, because of their traits. Caleb also seems to be wired differently from other Vampires. Unless Caleb gets a major edit in CAS, that chin of his is just bad. I usually end up deleting them from current saves because they seem to serve no purpose anymore. Sometimes I replace them and sometimes I don't because I want to see how long it takes the game to generate their replacements.
I only recently started playing a game with Vlad as one of the main playables. Maxis did such a number on him in terms of looks, traits, Vampire Powers and Weaknesses, and poor clothing choices. Out of curiosity, more than anything else, I wanted to see if I could "fix" him and I did. His facial features aren't perfect but I didn't want them to be. He's been an interesting Sim to play because I haven't played a Sim with the Evil or Loner traits. In spite of everything, Vlad finally became friends with Simeon from the Magic Realm. I think there's something about Vlad's Evil trait and Simeon's Gloomy trait that works for them. That's just a guess though.
In July I played the Kealoha household in Sulani. To me, Makoa and Liliana were a waste of time (Airheads x 2 = Not Fun). Liliana was slightly more interesting than Makoa. Their daughter, Nani, was aged up to child because I don't do toddlers. Nani was a really neat Sim to play. I only wish that kids could do more in this game. She and Ukupanipo, one of the premade merfolk, became good friends somehow. I think the game may have cheated their friendship because I never saw her interact with him. She did spend a lot of time swimming so maybe she ran into him that way. I never really saw Ukupanipo stop to chat with anyone. Ukupanipo became a playable Sim in that particular save because I was interested in seeing how the Glutton trait works. It's awful. The trait was OK as long as I was playing him but when I wasn't I'd see him rummaging through trash bins and eating spoiled food. I changed it the day I saw him eating spoiled pork that he found on the beach. Duane was moved to a starter home on Tangled Flats. He was generally OK. He liked to paint. I found it hard for him to make friends because he'd start Mischief interactions that didn't go over well with other teens. He was often kind of rude so, after a while, I left him alone.
Those are the only premade Sims that I've actually played. I think I tried Akira Kibo after I got City Living. I think I lasted about 15 minutes with the Karaoke Legends household. They're deleted on sight now. - There is no "I exclusively play premades" option so I can't really vote.
I love the challenge of having to relate to households I would not myself create. It may take a while to find something I like about them, but since there are so many I'm in no hurry.
I do play my own sims sometimes but I spend more time with premades. - CAS, and making up my own stories is super important to me. Filling up New Crest with story rich sims doesn't include pre-made townies unfortunately.
- I play them whenever I end up marrying one of them! I like marrying into households because they usually have a nicer home than me, but then again, it's still fun to decorate homes on your own, so even the ones that are just randomly generated townies are fun too! Right now one of my Sims is married to Lia Hauata, which is nice! (Although I made a new house for them so they could have kids more conveniently.) I split her grandmother from the family and moved her into a home with a randomly generated elder townie, who's a fisherman with the aspiration to be a Master Vampire, so I played with them for a while too, getting him a big vampire family and all that. I also had some fun with the Vatores on another file, my vampire married Caleb and I believe they had a kid or two. :D
