Do you remember the first time you played a sims game?

I think I was 9 or 10 years old when I first played Sims 1. I don't remember much about the very first game I played, because of this, except I remember having lots of fun creating characters and picking their attributes, then plopping them down in a pre-built house. I don't remember what I had them do, though. The funny thing is, so many years later, I still don't play with pre-made sims and still usually pick pre-made homes, at least when starting my game (I don't like building starter homes).
