Never forget!
I wasn't a kid when it came out and was well versed in technology had been building pcs since the 80's - and so sick of violent games, word games, even city building games, or silly senseless games - it was refreshing.... I finally had a world I could not just build but control the little people in. What's more I was all about having a world where people got along, and life did not revolve around trauma, bigotry, illnesses and discord in families... I could make it all better - so yeah playing since the day Will Wright offered me and lots of others a chance to test the game and got blown away.
Funny some things about Sims 1 seem daunting now when I ever get the chance to go back and revisit it on old equipment - that delighted me then. LOL Some i miss - looking at you Superstar and Making Magic - but yeah an unforgettable experience that i still cherish today - through 2,3, and 4.
