I think for me, that is when EA started alienating customers for the Sims. It is what started the disappointment we see today. I see similar bugs and issues occur for both games. I do think the Sims Freeplay will keep the franchise afloat. It seems to be performing really well from multiple EA conference calls.
Seems like from the recent conference call, Sims 4 is selling better than it did at launch, so you'll be happy to hear that.
