The club system was really controversial as an EP concept, and then became kinda well received, but then hated again when it kept breaking.
Now there’s only a few minor issues but devs seemed to have forgotten about adding club activities.
I just wanna see how many people use it.
For me, I’m option 3.- Wait...who said they will stop updating it forever?
- Madamelee8 years agoLegendI use it for my Anneorines and my Enrichment religions. I also used it for Gen 2's "Jacob-Haters" and "First Chances" Gen 3's "homework club" (I need a better name for that), and Gen 6's V.Ks club later renamed to "parent" club.
- Karababy528 years agoLegendI would need another option before I could vote in this poll. I have had Get Together for a long time now, but I haven't used the club system yet. Not because I don't like it, I just haven't got around to trying it yet. Plus, I forget it's there when it might be a good option to use and when I do remember the opportunity has passed so I just move on. I'm sure I'll use it sometime in the future. :)
- Whenever I try using it, I use it for a couple of sim days and then I just get bored with it and kind of forget that it's there. Not really my thing, I guess.
- I use it if I need a Mom's fitness club, or a child's voidcritters club. Shame there's no way to have a "mommy and me" or a toddler playdates club. Besides that I just have friends and family over or out the old fashion way ("invite out").
It's useful when I remember, but most of the time when I don't, I hardly remember about it. - MapleSimmer8 years agoSeasoned AceYes, I don’t play without it.
I love to create household clubs so that I can help my sims with skill building, making friends (popular club), needs (rally the troops), and getting promotions (networked club). I also find them handy as a single club or when you want to know your co-workers, among other things. - Hermitgirl8 years agoSeasoned AceMost fitting answer for me. I do sometimes play a sim without it but I use it frequently either as a tool or in the sims lives if it works with what I want to do with them. I don't forget it's there.
- No, I had as much luck with just travelling with Sims I wanted my Sims to travel with. I didn't really see the point of it all unless you want syncronized swimming. Anyone in a food club who were supposed to dine out never actually did, they stood around and talked and were never seated. (Especially, if you were not playing them at the time). Chess players never actually played chess (all at same time). etc. etc. It was just as easy for me to use the phone and invite those I wanted to go with my Sim. Book clubs never did discuss books (sitting in a circle, have to read the book that week and then discuss at the meeting) but would get a book, put it down, get a book, put it down etc. It was a waste of time, and none of the group outings built up relationships at all. It was easier to use the friendly interactions by just travelling with Sims than to actually put them in 'clubs'.
- janyses8 years agoSeasoned AceI use clubs constantly, but am disappointed that they don't have as many interactions as they could. I use mods to add club activities like take pictures, feed birds, trade cards, eat popcorn, blow bubbles, spray graffiti, etc. There are so many possibilities and EA is selling us short.
